Are there any other people who love the Shining Force series? For people who havent played it, its pretty much the same thing as Final Fantasy Tactics (Strategy RPG)

My favorite is probably the 2nd one. The newer ones are more Action RPG but they are still pretty tight.

No translations as of yet? Enjoying SF1 just now, bit tedious moving inventory around and checking stats but quite fun as a whole. The music is fantastic and i love the over the shoulder view for the battles. Just a shame i missed out on it in its prime.
There might be some fan translations online for the other 2 disks of Shining Force III but I haven't checked in a very long time. I seem to remember some sort of online project a long time ago that had a team of people volunteering their time to translation but not sure if it was completed. There was also an online petition to get the games over to North America and Europe that failed.

As for Shining Force, yeah the transporting of items can be really annoying especially since the main character picks up most of the items himself and then has to give them out to others manually. It can be a chore but it's not the end of the world. The gameplay is of course the best part of the game and it has a pretty upbeat soundtrack for Midi format.

One suggestion is to not promote your characters right away, as they will lose some of their power upon promotion. It's better to level them up really high in the first class and then to change over near the end of the game. Wait until you are level 20 in the first character class or at least 15 and then change them over and they will be significantly better. Especially Max (the main character).
