This is a really tough question to answer. I do like red/blue because they are the ones that started it all. I'd probably have to say that gold/silver/crystal are the best. All of the other games have you traveling in one region and you have to collect 8 badges, while in these games, you travel to Kanto and Johoto and collect 16 badges and fight Ash/Red at the very end on Mt. Silver. I am currently waiting for platinum too! |

I would hate to sound like a mod but your topic should be called "What version of pokemon is best!?" and not "Most Important Question of all Time!!!" don't try to trick them and say it's the "Most Important Question of all Time!!!" anyhow mine would be gold/sliver because it was a true sequel. all the other ones are remakes with new rosters like madden. |

Same here. It's my favorite Pokemon game as well, although I did like red/blue and gold/silver, I didn't like ruby/sapphire much. Haven't really ever played diamond/pearl.

I would say Pokemon Blue , But due to the fact of the wifi capabilities in diamond and pearl its a tough decsion , but pokemon blue still comes out on top , because its how it all began |

Red and Blue were my favorites, but I did enjoy Yellow, Gold, Silver, and Crystal. Everything after those just stinks. The new Pokemon are just ridiculous looking. |

I would say Pokémon Red is my favorite. It was my first Pokémon game and I had never played anything like it before.

I think that although I started with Red, Yellow was probably my favorite. I loved that fact that you could get all three of the starters, and Pikachu was awesome to start with. But with the G/S version, I liked the Crystal version the best, not sure why though. It was essentially the same game as Silver/Gold. There wasn't much added like there was to yellow, but it was still awesome. |

Don't ask me why, but I LOVED playing red/blue on the gameboy, but I never played another pokemon game after it. |

I think as we all agree on either Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver or Crystal it is a fact that the new Pokemon games suck. But anyway I would say its tough, but Blue or Silver. |

Red definitly! 151 are enough, regular human beings can't keep track of the 30000+ pokemon they have now-a-days |
