Strategy Guide Master Posts: 71 Group: Founding Members Member #97 Joined: Jan 27, 2009	This is a really tough question to answer. I do like red/blue because they are the ones that started it all. I'd probably have to say that gold/silver/crystal are the best. All of the other games have you traveling in one region and you have to collect 8 badges, while in these games, you travel to Kanto and Johoto and collect 16 badges and fight Ash/Red at the very end on Mt. Silver. I am currently waiting for platinum too!

New User Posts: 19 Group: Members Member #37 Joined: Jan 27, 2009	I would hate to sound like a mod but your topic should be called "What version of pokemon is best!?" and not "Most Important Question of all Time!!!" don't try to trick them and say it's the "Most Important Question of all Time!!!" anyhow mine would be gold/sliver because it was a true sequel. all the other ones are remakes with new rosters like madden.

It's my favorite Pokemon game as well, although I did like red/blue and gold/silver, I didn't like ruby/sapphire much. Haven't really ever played diamond/pearl.

I loved that fact that you could get all three of the starters, and Pikachu was awesome to start with. But with the G/S version, I liked the Crystal version the best, not sure why though. It was essentially the same game as Silver/Gold. There wasn't much added like there was to yellow, but it was still awesome.
