You know how many forums like Halo 3 Forums and others have video openings for the beginnings of all their members videos? We should do the same. It would help promote new users to join the site as well as show some PGRF pride.

Anyone else think this is a good idea.

In a way the only way I want the word getting out about this forum is through my channel. That will keep the community a group of people that share the same interest and keep it from becoming "just another forum".

Yeah I also agree with Pete, right now I can honestly say that this forum has a very respectful and knowledgeable group of people. Posts that are rude or looking to start trouble are few and far between. This is certainly my favorite forum now

I really hope that this forum stays small and tight-knit. Too many members could suck the fun out of it. I'd rather know most of the members than see hundreds of new members every day like in some forums. However, if it does end up like that I would feel happy for Pete and continue to post here anyways.

The thing is, while I am sure we will lose members (seems some who WERE posting stopped recently) we wil always be gaining new ones as well because of the magic of youtube, as people discover my channel they will discover the forum. This way, we will always have a slow and steady trickle of members coming in, some will never post, some will post for a few days and leave, but then there will be the few who stay for the long haul.

The main thing is just keeping it active, so as long as everyone comes in almost everyday and replies to atleast a few different topics (also dont forget about OLDER topics, reply to them as well seeing as that they are not even a week old yet). If people see a dead forum they wont participate and right now its still nice and active so lets keep it this way :)

Yup this is VERY true. I have managed several forums in the past and one now. Forums are usually VERY slow to start. But once they do it's the members that keep it alive. No one person can make a forum work, it needs to be a community effort.
