Are there any guitar players here? If so what gear/guitars do you have? Me, Guitars: Ibanez GRG170DX Ibanez S320 Kramer FR404S/D? (not sure) Amp: Peavey Studio Pro 112 Transtube Series Effects: Digitech Scott Ian Black 13 Distortion Pedal Boss ME-50 I'm also hoping to buy a new affordable acoustic guitar worthy of playin Jason Mraz, etc.. Can anyone reccomend anything? I've been looking at a lot of Takamine's and Alvarez's but im not sure... thx

Yes Guitar/bass I have a proper old fender strat (in cream  ) and a Gibson SG standardAmp: Marshall DSL 100 My bass is a Epiphone Thunderbird (absolutley love it, my prized possesion lol) and its amp is a Fender Rumble 100. My only effects thing is a Line 6 POD which has loads of stuff on it. |

Yep. My stuff: Schecter Tempest Custom Fender Deluxe Player's Stratocaster Marshall MG100HDFX As for pedals I just use this multi-effect. Boss ME-50 I really want a loop pedal though. I use to take lessons, but I'm actually self taught because I didn't learn anything from my teacher. Been playing for 4 or 5 years now. I play pretty much everything. As for the acoustic guitar thing, I don't know your definition of cheap, but I have played this acoustic and love it and might buy one for myself. I'm a bass player mostly, but I do own a couple of guitars I mess around with from time to time. My basses are a Squier Affinity Series P-Bass and a Squier Pete Wentz Signature P-Bass, and as for guitars, I own a Squier Bullet Strat Special and a steel string Fender acoustic. Yep. Guitars: Jackson Kelly & Shergold Masquerader(Pretty rare but in rough state) Amp: Only use a 20 watt amp...a marshall.(i only play at home anyway) Effects: Korg AX1000 multi effects pedal...it's awesome. |

I play guitar too, but I play the classical/ spanish guitar. I tried buying an Ibanez acoustic electric sometime last year on ebay, but I'm a poor uni student so I couldn't find any that I liked for the right price. I'm think I'm sticking with my super cheap guitar for now because it has served me well over the years and it has a brilliant tone anyway. |

i used to play more active for 4 years, and our "band" went for a gig at local school back then and we played 1 finnish classics song, motörheads overkill, black sabbath's iron man, and paranoid, and uriah heeps easy living, and one finnish punk song, but the more frequent playing and practising dropped away, as the band pretty much ate it self alive, and now im re-learning pretty slowly again, becouse i idiot bought a boxing sack shortly after the bands breaking, and broke my wrist bones from my left hand in a moped crash a year later, and im right handed player so it killed my note hand for a while, my guitar is just some starter junk i guess comparing to your stuff's  im just a poor student and i hardly even got that guitar, but its fun to play, even tough its seen better days.plus i have old small CRATE amplifier that has more buttons than kick to it Ibanez GRG170DX |
