PC in Past Generations; Suggestion

I know pc's are continually upgraded and dont really count as being a past generation like the nes and master system etc but...shouldn't there be a section in past generations for forum users to talk about old PC games.

Starting a topic about monkey island 2 just wouldn't make sense in current gaming, or a topic focused on the pros and cons of the DOS system would be quite absurd and irrelevent(for younger gamers) also.

What do you think?

Really?

No one gives a damn about PC Games of the Past?

Not a lot of point and clickers about then.

I don't think there is enough interest to make a whole section for it. If anybody wants to talk about old PC games it would go in the "other" section of the "Past Generations" sub forum.

I Like Games.

I agree. The community is still to small to add another PC section, and if looking at the activity level of the current PC forum says anything, I dont think a second will go too far :)

Thanks anyway.

I just recently made a topic to discuss 2 older PC games, Fallout 1 (1997) and Fallout 2 (1998). I didnt know whether to put it in the PC section, since they are PC games or past generation because of thier age. Im not saying make a whole new section now. But maybe in the future if the population grows some.

I think all PC games should be discussed on the PC boards, alot of prequals before the turn of this decade are receiving a sequal. I don't see why anyone couldn't talk about Starcaft or Age of Empires if the sequals are out are coming out. That doesn't rule of games like Monkey Island or Neverhood either.

Why not talk about older games? Hell, people still actively play these games; an excellent example of this is the original Quake, which has an active community, particularly in Team Fortress. As stated before, older games have sequels coming out decades later, like Alone in the Dark, which has been released, IIRC, five times.

Older PC games. Had anybody ever heard of the game called the Grim Fandango? Well, as a kid this game really scared me. It's an adventure game with some RPG elements. People should give it a try because the story is just awesome, it's like playing a 1970's thriller movie.

Nice, nostalgia is kicking in- but did you seriously have to post that huge image?

both of these games are amazing and surprisingly hard to find if you get a chance to play them you definitely have to try them.
