You should have chosen Alternative.
There is electronica in the selection, which I think somewhat goes hand in hand with the synths. Also, there's alternative, again. :B |

I like classical music... does that make me... I dunno, nerdy, lol? I enjoy generally all types of music, there's no set genre for me really. As long as a song catches my attention, doesn't really matter what genre it is. The reason I chose classical though, is because I can sit through hours and hours of classical music, or sometimes when I play music, I can go on for hours without noticing the time (I'm not like that even with video games, lol). I can't do that with any other genre, get too distracted. By classical though, I mean anything not modern, so anything from the Renaissance, Romantic, Classical, Baroque, Medieval eras. I also enjoy traditional Japanese/Chinese/Asian music and not just classical music from Europe.

Ediblechocobo, I like you and respect your honest interest in classical music. I was kind of supposing there would a more dynamic interest in`the harder rock / metal field, which isn't a bad thing since it's a rich genre. I'm sort of disappointed though since I feel other genres are being rather neglected since it doesn't meet our current standards. :/ |

I put metal/rock, but i'll listen to anything. Classical music is good to listen to when playing online games- placing a few well aimed bullets in an opponents head while listening to a piano peice has a certain grace and beauty :P. Depends what mood really. |

Alice in Chains is meh, but I'm not the one to talk since I'm not deeply into grunge. Metallica is respectable in a practical sense, but they're a mediocre band in my opinion in this day in age- where practicality isn't my sort of thing. Iron Maiden is good for its involving riffs, and who could resist Bruce Dickinson? Slayer is sort of / kind of boring, long ranged tempos can express only so much. |

I don't really care what genre it is, since I can find both albums and songs from alsmot all genres that I will enjoy and will play more than once. I started out as a metal-head, evolved into a rapper, now I just listen to what I find good. From Vivaldi to Nurse With Wound, to Etnica and Infected Mushroom to Pantera and Satyricon, back to Buck 65 and Sage Francis. |

I chose alternative. I'm a big fan of Seattle grunge bands, with Soundgarden and Pearl Jam being the best. Actually I like most early-mid 90s music in general, primarily Oasis, Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, and post-rock bands. Hard rock and metal are alright, and lately I've been going into hip hop and jazz. I also love Irish folk music for some rason. |
