I think this would be a good topic for people to tell how Pete's tips have helped them, or how it's made them want to start collecting. For me, it's really given me an outline on how to collect. I have just been buying here and there for any system, but Pete's idea on the "Buy for 1 console" is a great idea. Although I will still buy here and there from time to time, he has shown me that lots are the way to go. |

It actually told me something new that i didnt relize. You should buy in bulk with games because you save a lot of money instead of buying 1 or 2 for $50 you can get like a bundle of 5 for $50 on kijiji or ebay! |

One of the advantages of buying in bulk is sometimes you can get a bunch of games you might already have, but at a discounted price, and you can sell those games off by themselves for a profit and keep the other games which you just paid less for since you sold the ones you didn't want.

There's always the clearance rack at Target... sometimes when games don't sell too well for a specific Target they start racking these things in the clearance in red.... you find that it is even cheaper than used.... at a gamestop.... like Last Remnant brand new for 14.99.. or infinite undiscovery for 19.99... and it's quite common too.... not exactly sure what triggers when these drops happen.... but takes at least sometimes 4 months or so... I used to work at a Target and it seemed they do those kind of things unless its like seasonal item then it drops even faster...just when it goes out of season immediately price drop... Also trading in games helps in terms of getting other games you'd like to have in your collection over games you just didn't really like or want no more... you should trade in a bit more to get the benefit from Gamestop...sometimes they give you 40% more trade in credit when it's going on..... or some other promotional trade in for a hotter new release title..... and they also have coupons they offer at times.... also the Edge card is a good thing to have adds in more trade in credit at gamestops and also buying used games gives some reduction too.... THat's all that i can come up with since others have already pointed out buy in bulk or use ebay... |
