I litterly bought my xbox 360 around a week or two ago and it just started freezing and I had to restart it. I have the warranty so worst come to worst I send it in but it is very annoying that my 360 already froze ( 4 times).. my ps3 froze once in the almost 2 years I have had it. Aside from that i'm really enjoying some of my 360 titles I picked up (gears 1 and nhl 08 and 09). I just hope that this isn't related to the rrod or anything. Anyone have any suggestions on how to make it not freeze?

My 360 started freezing the day before I got the red rings. Hopefully you won't get RROD. Nothing much you can do about it.

uh oh.....when it freezes is it like it horizontal lines or like a lattice effect on your screen?
If it is then it could be a slippery slope to the RROD unfortuantley dude.
If not maybe a disc is scratched or your 'box isn't reading discs properly.

it's odd because my disks are in mint condition ( i always do that with my games) but my 360 will sometimes give me a message saying it cant read the disk, I'm not sure what you mean about the freeze because I usually just restart it if freezes. Oh yeah last night there was a weird sound that sounded very static, thats about it information wise.
