Off the top of my head i have to say alex kidd in shinobi world. The music is great and the graphics are in a great cartoony style. oh and did i mention that you can climb lamposts and turn into a fireball, incinerating your enemies! all in 8-bit fashion of course :D fairly easy to complete but i still find myself returning to the game again and again

Whats your favourite master system game? mention a few if you want, i probably will when more come to mind. Give a reason why too.

Sega Does What Nintendon't

Phantasy Star: I am addicted to RPG's so this one had to be on the list!

Double Dragon: The best beat em up on the 8 bit systems plus I liked the Master System port much better back when I was a kid.

Alex Kidd: I liked all the Alex Kidd games myself and would love to see a new game made by Sega on current gen.

One I just remembered was a game called Cloud Master. I used to love this Shmup when I was a kid.

I havent played that game, i dont really have any shmups on the MS, only xenon 2. To be fair, it's actually really poor on the MS but definetly worth the £1 i payed for it. :D

Ha ha just watched a vid for cloud master...looks kinda fun. i like the back grounds too, very simplistic but effective...for 1988 :D

Was playing bonanza bros on the mega drive collection(XB360) and was really disapointed, the MS version is waaaay better. On the MD version you constantly have a split screen, whats that about?!

Playing S.C.I(special criminal investigation), or Chase HQ II on other consoles. It's still as good as i remember, outrun with guns! haha

There is a game on the Wii called The Monkey King: The Legend Begins thats more or less a remake of Cloud Master. I picked up my copy at Walmart for $7.00. Its super easy but I still enjoyed playing through it but I am a huge fan of SHMUPS and I loved Cloud Master as a kid. Also there is a game called Saint on the Wii that's a lot like the other 2 games not sure if its tied in any way because I dont have this one yet. The 2 Wii games get bad reviews but for the price I dont think there bad at all. Most people bitch about the graphics of the games but I find them pleasing myself.

The Wonderboy series is another one of my favorites for the master system.

Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap is my favorite in the series on the Master System.

Such a great game, so fun to play. I Actually have it on the game gear but it's pretty much the same. The graphics are just great too, really shows what the Master system was capable of.

That monkey king game looks awesome, looks a little better than saint, maybe it's the awesome cartoony graphics. 2 player looks awesome too.

Going a little overkill on the "awesome" haha.

since you like UN Squadron on the SNES and like Jets and stuff you should check out Aerial Assault on the master system it reminds me of a simple UN Squadron game.

Also you MUST buy Wonder Boy III: Dragons Trap its the best game on the master system and one of if not the best 8 bit games made ever! Yes its that good!

Psychic World

I picked this game up fairly recently and was shocked at how good of a game this is. I really enjoy it and highly recommend it if you have a SMS! It sort of reminds me of a Mega Man game.

Isn't that a SMS(Eu) exclusive?? Is there a way to play it on a U.S. SMS??

The Sega Master System is region free so you can play Pal games on a North American SMS without issue. (Japanese games only work on the Japanese SMS) The only game I know that don't work is Back to the Future III Pal for some reason it just locks up. There is more info on the subject here..............

I dont have the game but it looks like theres some small sprites taken from ninja gaiden. Like when you destroy an enemy it has the same "poof" cloud for example.

That is interesting. I hadn't really noticed it but I haven't played it as much as I would like to.

Its worth checking out, I would say its one of my favorite games in my collection for my Master System. Wish I could of got my hands on a copy back in the day.

Is it a fairly rare game? Looking online and its pretty pricey for an MS game.
Seen a few for like £10 then another for £99! haha

Good old ebay.

I got my copy off eBay about 4 months ago for around $20.00 US new and still sealed with the Sega sticker. I snagged it up when I saw it at that price for a "new" copy. I don't know how rare the game is but its a great title if you can find it for a fair price.

I'll just have to keep an eye out...looks interesting.

I really like sonic 1 on the MS, its not as fast as a sonic game really should be but its a fun game.

Dont know about rare though...it came boxed with the master system 2 and was even built in to the later ones instead of Alex kidd.
