Not entirely true, it really is unknown what the requirements are to be accepted as a partner. There are partners out there with as few as 5 videos (but those videos have 1million+ views), partners with fewer than 1000 subs, and partners who even get less than 1,000 views on each video.

Put it this way, I have applied for partnership 3 times now and have not yet been accepted. Nobody knows what they expect from you really.

I've seen people with like 1000 videos and 6000 views on each and then other people with 10 videos and 400 views on each, I don't think anyone really knows.

The great thing about the 360 isn't beating the games. It's showing everyone online that I did

Most partners I see make vids where every comment is pretty much "you stink, get off youtube" and the vids have 2 star ratings, but since people view them because the person is stupid and doesnt know what they're on about, the person will probably get a partnership.

How is getting paid handled? Is it a monthly thing, or like, so much per hits on a video or something.

People that do video game channels are likel never going to be accepted as a partner unless you have permission from game companies to use their game footage. Like Classic game room, all the games he reviews he gets from companies (and is forced to do a review on the game, though I believe he chooses which ones he gets). Same for machinima.

I have made about $4.00 so far for my google adsense account from 3 videos which are in the partner program. Here are my stats for those 3 videos over the past 3-4 days:

7,627 page impressions (views)
51 clicks (clicked on advertisement on the page)
Total earnings $3.45

I could only imagine how much I would make if all of my videos were in the partner program...I would estimate a few bucks a day. However the chances of this happening are slim because video game channels that show gameplay basically never get fully accepted to partnerhship.

You know what I don't understand? Fred's a partner, right? He's only like 14. He technically shouldn't even be on youtube.
Not to put any minors on youtube down. I just think it's wierd that youtube's so-called best member is underage and breaking the rules of the website.

What do you exactly mean minimum age?, because you can make an account at age 13, but some of the videos to watch you have to be 18.
