I have been a gamer for many years now, purchasing games for entertainment and to collect them.

Recently, while browsing through want-ads I found someone in my local area selling boxes of old NES games. Nothing in particular was listed, but the dealer had confirmed 90 games, with 3 being doubles for around $75. Figuring I could atleast sell what I didn't have, or want for atleast that much back.. I went and purchased them. There didn't appear to be anything special in particular, so I didn't even bother to look when I picked them up. Shortly after I had gotten home, I decided to clear some room for them on my NES shelf, easy enough. So after that was taken care of, I started to sift through the games, to see what I had boughten, at a glance I saw two golden cartridges, I picked one up and found it to be Zelda. I was happy though, doubles of zelda could easily be worth around $30 USD without the box or anything. Meh, I proceded. Not before long I had found doubles of Battle Chess, Double Dribble, and Micro Machines. Recalling the claim that there were only 3 doubles, I wasn't too concerned, but Interested in seeing if there were even more doubles in the box. This is where, and when the greatest thing that has ever happened to me occured.

The second gold cartridge is Zelda right ...?

Come to find it was the 1990 Nintendo World Championships: Gold Edition cartridge; one of 26 in the world. My very own piece of gaming history, hidden away in a dusty collection of long forgotten games, all for $75.. now thats some luck'.

Wow, you are VERY lucky to come across that, the inflation on that game is astounding, I mean a lot of it's worth is due to ebay, though mostly I can see it's because it was a very very limited release, as you said only 26 made in the gold cart. That in itself warrants quite a hefty price, and it's not even because the games are the best there is, or good to play! Just because of how rare it is to find!

You hold onto that little jem for dear life!

Also I'm moving this to the General Gaming forum, I think it would suite there the best, as well as spark up some interest and talk!

If you're telling the truth, you have quite possibly found the bargain of the century! The last copy of Nintendo World Championship 1990 that surfaced sold for $17,500, and the game is considered to be the holy grail of collectable video games. I would keep that in a vault.

As amazing as that story would be, people of the internet need proof. Hell, I could say I have every game in the world, but would anybody believe me? I'm about 95% sure not a person, unless I had some sort of proof. So, if you could do us ALL a favor, take it out of that bank box, snap a few pix, and Bam, you'd be good.

He's advertising himself, seeing how his name is "Big Al's Game Stash" and his story is very unbelievable. Honestly, I think it's bullshit and if you want to advertise yourself, do it on the buying and selling forum.
