If your only going to buy 1 game, why don't you get a standard psp for a cheaper price?

I downlaoded the demo about 3 hours ago and just stopped playing it. Granted, I took a dinner break, but still... holy crap...

My impressions:

Presentation
All the story is carried out in graphic novel-esque cutscens with full voice acting. The art style for these cutscenes are excellent. The problem is, it's all in Japenese, so I can tell you what I though of the story. The production value seemed pretty high to me. The load times seemed a bit too long though. I can't tell you about the menu interface, because I only chose the options I knew I needed to, due to it being written in japanese .

Graphics
Steller. Theres lots of detail, and it seems to have a flawless framerate. Everything looks a little staticky from far away, but it's not really a big deal.
It mainly sticks to shades of brown and green, but it just makes it seem more serious, and it makes sense with all of the camoflauge stuff.

Sound
Amazing. You've got the unbelievably accurate sound effects for the guns and such, great voice acting(at least in Japenese), and a great orchestra that shows up in the backround at just the right moments. Isn't really any complaints here.

Gameplay
The gameplay is pretty much just being thrown in an environment with heavily armed, and armored, bad guys. You go throughout the environment stealthily killing your opponents. You can try just going out guns blazing, but it's definatly not the smartest decission. Just shooting your enemies like in say, Gears of War is mostly just used as a last resort. When you have to do so, the options are definatly not in your favor. You see, in Gears of War, theres a cover mechanic used for "Pop and Gun" shooting. When you take cover in PW, you can't use your guns. So, in these situations, you'll be standing in the open shooting your guns. But, it's not really a problem, because ussually a human error is the only thing that puts you in these situations. I just wish I could just go out guns blazing if I wanted to, but you really do have to use stealth. The game puts up a good challenge, and is still VERY fun. They give you alot of toys to play with; different guns, stunning devices, and misc. gadgets. And performing all the stealth is very satisfying.

Overall
The Peace Walker Demo was a great experience, and honestly, some of the most fun I've ever had on my psp. I'd say doing everything should take you within 30 min. to an hour, and getting A and S ratings will take you longer. Bottom line, if you own a psp, download the demo from IGN or something. I've never played a MGS game before, but I"m definatly buying this game. If it's like the others, in that you'd be lost if you didn't play the others, I'll ask you guys to give me all the info I need.

Anyone else download the demo? If so, write your impressions!

Just realized you can change your armor when I was playing like a half hour ago. You can make yourself better armed, more geared for stealth, sort of neutral, and one more I didn't try out. The one I didn't try out is basically a shirtless Snake. As for the atributes, no clue.

I'd also just like to note that in the post above I gave my impressions on the demo; it's not a review.

Maybe because more people travel around and spend less time at home?

How is this different from other Metal Gear games released on the PSP? I don't see any difference, I don't see the hype.
