I've only played World at War, but I'm wondering about everyone else's opinions. Is Call of Duty 4 better than World at War? But, what makes World at War so special that everyone thinks it's better? |

I haven't really heard anyone saying that W@W is better. I've always heard that CoD4 is better because it's not another world war game. And the reason why most people like W@W is because it has Nazi Zombies. |

Call of Duty 4 is better, in my opinion. Sure, WaW has Nazi Zombies, but I honestly didn't like the overall storyline, and multiplayer aspects. CoD 4's storyline, on the other hand, was put-together well, and the multiplayer had superior customization to WaW. |

I like both games equally. COD4 is very good and the online is solid. I like WaW's singleplayer better though. The onlineare very similar, I like the map design in WaW a bit better and I do like a lot of the guns such as the SVT, Kar98K, etc. They're both really good, the one thing I hate about WaW is that EVERYBODY uses the fucking MP40, it us such an overpowered gun it's not even funny, so many noobs use it and then talk trash because they wetn 30-28 k/d with an MP40 and stopping power while I got 23-4 with an SVT, and they still talk trash and think they're better. That's my major gripe with WaW, is that one damn gun. |

In my opinion Call of Duty 4 is the best CoD game in my opinion, and yes I've played all of them and beat them. |

I like both games. COD:4 seems to have less of the frustrating "trial and error" gameplay that is more prevalent in COD: WAW, but I think they are both strong games in their own way. |

i just want to say i perfer MW or WaW but i think MW has more of that "trial and error" especially in the harder levels i dont know how many time on NFITWR i cam down the stairs the around the corner where they are firing on you from both halls and tried hiding on the right side then the left side then laying down it got so frustrating I dunno just venting both those games sucked up so much of time |

What I see Treyarch and IW doing is rotaing between COD games every year releasing them in November, so after MW2 this year I suspect we will see another WW2 COD from Treyarch in November 2010 and so on, pretty much all just reskins of COD4 and I suspect they will use the same engine as well. |

Really? I found it to be the opposite. I did fairly well on MW in both the regular and harder difficulties, while I found myself getting frequently blown up in WAW (damn those grenades!) and I found it to be an altogether more frustrating game. But having said that, both are great games in my books. |
