Matt456's 1000th post special, Part 4: Movie review
For part 4 of my 1000th post special, I'll be reviewing a movie.

But first, let me explain my rating system that will be used for this review and future ones:
A half of a star to 1.5 of a star- Don't see it. Ever. EVAR
2-2.5 stars: Some may enjoy it, but I don't recommend it.
3 stars- Decent on all fronts. Maybe mediocre.
3.5-4 stars. Reccommended if your a fan of the genre.
4.5-5 stars- See it. NOW.
I would also like to note that this will be formated like a standard article. I won't catagorize the certain aspects of a film like I do with video games.

All right, I'll be reviewing...

Toy Story 2
(what I think is the best film ever produced)

Toy Story 2 impresses on all fronts, and I honestly can't think of any complaints. The CGI and the color pallette were outmached for it's time and it still looks incredible. So much litttle detail was added to each scene of the movie, making some of the most fun to be had with the movie simply spotting all the different toys and such. For example, I was able to spot a super nintendo in 2 different scenes. The movie is hilarious; it's basically omnicient humor that everyone(no matter what age) can laugh at, with a few jokes snuck in for the older crowd. But the movie also makes you sad, leaving you with a confusing sense of compassion for the toys. It may sound silly to imagine feeling sorrowful for toys, but the personification in this movie is amazing. The plot acknolages that the main characters are toys, with the limits of toys, but it doesn't shove it in your face. You forget at times that you're watching toys, but when a conflict is introduced that can only face a toy, you quickly remember. One thing that also helps you feel compassion for the characters is the voice acting. This movie has an all star cast, containing Tim Allan, Tom Hanks, and 2 actors from the debatably best sitcom of all time, Sienfeld. The voice acting is definatly not rushed, and you're never left wondering why a certion voice actory was used for a certain toy. The plot is always moving at a fast pace(with the exception of the more emotional moments) and the soundtrack is ussually ringing in the backround, deliving the perfect tune for the scene currently occuring. The movie never gets old, and it's unmatched in the realm of animated films, so this movie scores a...

These aren't the droids we're looking for.

Great review. I love the Toy Story series so much; it's just so idealistic, but with a sense of realism. It just personifies the mid-to-late-90's for me. I really need to buy them on DVD, since I don't want to risk the old VHS's to my tape-eating VCR; already lost Titanic that way.

Ah, nostalgia....
