Help with Fraps?

What would the world be without video games?
[ * * * ]
 i recently got fraps and when i start up the application and then start up my game, there is no yellow framerate in the top left corner.
when i press my video recording hot key the fraps icon in the corner changes to red, but only for about 10 seconds.

i have the full version
i am running as administrator.

HELP MEH PLZorz

 I had a problem similar to this... I think it depends on what your using fraps for. I couldn't get it to work on a NES emulator I had, but it worked perfectly for Diablo 1,2 and WoW. Have you tried to run it with another game?
