The great thing about the 360 isn't beating the games. It's showing everyone online that I did

I think as of now, it's about 6 and a bit weeks until Christmas, and since there is a Christmas wishlist topic, I figured there should be a your favourite Christmas Memory thread, too.

Well here is mine, from Christmas 2003. Enjoy

I had been a Nintendo fan since the SNES days. I picked up a Nintendo magazine around May 2003 and when flicking through it, I saw Sonic Mega Collection and I knew of games like Luigi's Mansion and Mario Sunshine. But when I saw that Sonic was on GameCube, I HAD to have one. I begged my parents for it for Christmas like every day for 7 months. I threatened that I would ruin Christmas if I didn't get one (I was 12-13 :P ). Christmas eve, I reminded my parents that if there wasn't a GameCube in the lounge room when I woke up that I was going to make the day a missery for them. I didn't get to sleep till about 2:30 am. Woke up at 5:00. When I went out to the lounge room at 6:00, there was a giant red gift bag with a snowman on it. I peeked into it, staring back at me was a Memory Card 59 box and below it a copy of Luigi's Mansion and 3 other games which I couldn't see and they were sitting on top of a purple GameCube box. I was so excited. I got the games out, I had Luigi's Mansion, Legend Of Zelda Wind Waker with Master Quest, Super Mario Sunshine and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. I also got an official GameCube leather carry case. It had the GameCube logo on top of it, it was AWESOME! The first game I played was Master Quest, then I loaded up Sonic and was blown away at the first Sonic game I had played since 93. I was one of the only people I knew who had a GameCube, but it was my favourite system and that was the most exciting Christmas I had ever since getting my Nintendo 64 for Christmas 1997.

These aren't the droids we're looking for.

Christmas, 1998 B-)

My parents had recently gotten my brother and I an N64, so N64 games were a must for Christmas that year. I had recently discovered the Star Wars films, so when I had heard about Star Wars: Rogue Squadron I knew I had to have it. I knew my parents had bought it for me, so on Christmas morning I was tearing through the presents with authority, looking for Rogue Squadron. Found it, opened it, loved it. But that wasn't all I got; my grandma had bought us Turok: Dinosaur Hunter as well. I got to play it for awhile, but she ended up taking it away from us the following Spring after seeing us play it and realizing just how violent it was :P I only got it back like 2 years ago, haha.

It was a great Christmas. We get cash now, so that magic of opening presents hasn't been there in ages, which is kind of sad.

Mine was getting the NES for Christmas 1987. I didn't even ask for it, but my parents got it as a joint gift for my brother and I, so we tore into it even before opening the rest of our presents. These were the days when every system had a pack-in game and two controllers, and we spent the rest of the day playing Super Mario Brothers and Duck Hunt. My parents even got into the groove with shooting ducks and clay discs. It was a great day indeed.

Hmmm...
A Matt456 Christmas Memory
When I was younger I was into Spider-Man. So for Christmas I wanted Spider-Man toys, mainly action figures. There was one action figure I really wanted, because I had seen it on a commercial numerous times, but never saw it in stores. I distinctly remember it: It was a Spider-Man without his mask(I think it came with a mask you could put on, also) that rode on the bike Peter delivered pizza on, in the film "Spider-Man 2." I was very pleased to find that my christmas list wish was granted, with the exact toy under the tree. I was convinced that Santa was real after this, figuring that my parents would never be able to find it; Santa's elves must have made it.
Once I wised up, and realized Santa Claus was Bull Shit(lol, excuse my language, I only said that because Demetri Martin says it all the time), I asked my mom how she managed to do it. She said, if it was hard to find, whenever me and my sister weren't home around Christmas time, she went to walmart and checked if it was there, and that she got lucky.
I'm Matt. You may know me.

I beleived in Santa until I was about 10, but I didn't believe in the whole he built the toys thing. I remember saying when I was 8 "Yeah, Santa knows how to build a working Nintendo 64 alright!" - Sarcastic obviously.
