Facebook, Twitter, Last fm and Zune are coming (or now already on) to 360 but can somebody tell me why? I mean if you have Live you have the internet and that means you can use these sites on your PC so its just social networking but using your console which seems pointless and a waste of time right? Can somebody please tell me why i should start using my Xbox to go on my Facebook because it seems more complecated if anything (typing with the controller is long!) and it seems like Microsoft could of spent their time on something worth while and different. |

It's just like giving the user the option to use these applications on their cell phone, it's another social network medium to reach as many people as possible. With something new comes many individuals will jump on board just because the idea is at first is novel, and perhaps exciting. The facebook application is quite minimal as you cannot view their profile or "wall" so you can pretty much only view pictures, or write that little sentence of what you are up to at the time. I guess if you want to see friends pictures on your T.V instead that then it would be beneficial, otherwise just like many other things taking this application on, it's just another wide spread gimmick made popular by the mases, and everything in this generation is leaning towards "staying connected through the internet." My suggestion: Don't download the application on xbox if you have no need for it, it's great that it was made an option that can be ignored. Edited by Porcelain, Nov 24 2009, 11:04 AM.

If you are in a large household with an internet connection but limited usage of a pc, i think the younger demographic could get a decent amount of use out of it. |

Thanks, very Interesting but im just going to stick to the PC. Hopefully something new and innovative will come to xbox 360 rather than copying existing trends and sticking it on to the console (1 vs 100, avatars). |
