The great thing about the 360 isn't beating the games. It's showing everyone online that I did

I've said in another thread that I bought a model 2 Genesis/Mega Drive on Tuesday. The problem is that the system and controller are in perfect condition (except the system sounds like there is a loose bit of plastic in it but I assumet that's because it's old.) Anyways the AC adaptor and RF switch I got were in kinda meh condition. Both have electrical tape on them where I assume the wire is broken. (I didn't realise this when I bought it because only the system was out the front of the shop) I don't care about the RF switch because I bought some new red, yellow and white cords which work 100%, but with the AC adaptor I'm just a bit worried about the cord eventually dying. But I noticed that the AC Adaptor for my old Sony Walkman (which I have 3 adaptors for thanks to siblings having the same model walkman ) and the AC Adaptor for my PSP both fit into the model 2 Mega Drive perfectly. I tested the Walkman adaptor and the system turned on with it connected, but I'm a bit scared that because it isn't the official adaptor that it might blow the system....or am I just worrying too much? I use an unofficial AC adaptor for my SNES and I've never had a problem with it.I'm going to use the official adaptor and hope it doesn't die, but if it does, should it be safe to use my other AC adaptors? PS. GOD BLESS YOU SONY!

As long as specs on them match up it should be OK. If they don't match then you run the risk of messing something up. you can get model 2 PSUs cheap off eBay so if your unsure I would just pick a new one up. |
