Any happy Club Nintendo users around these parts? And Platinum or whatever members here?
I have an account, but only because I don't want any strangers registering my DSi.

EDIT: I had a question up but nevermind. Just forget about it if you saw it. Just talk about Club Nintendo here.

These aren't the droids we're looking for.

I got a deck of Animal Crossing: Wild World cards over the summer, and I got a neat little desk calender for registering a certain amount of games over the last year; I know Pete got a Mario hat.

I'd recommend using the service if you buy Nintendo products; it's not really an incentive to buy Nintendo games simply for the rewards, though, but you can get yourself a nice little treat if you get enough coins.

Off-topic: HaHA! I can post here now, Matt! Now that I got my 500th post review index thingermuhbob out of the way!

Off Topic: HA! I know, the second after you posted #500 you probably posted here. Other users probably wonder what goes on between us...

But pertaining to the topic, it seems wierd to me that nintendo hasn't fully integrated Club Nintendo into the DS and Wii's online play. It could double as your online account; a rewards program tied into an average xbox live-esque setup. Online play on the DS and Wii does't really involve accounts at all, which isn't good for big virual console/wiiware/dsiware users.

Yeah, Nintendo's a little behind in that respect this gen, but I don't really think they care :P Whatever they're doing, it's working for them. Hopefully Europe's Club Nintendo program get's an update to be similar to our's and Japan's. I think they only get stuff like wallpapers and stuffs when they register games =/

EDIT: And, yes, I ran straight here afterwards. Figuratively, of course :P

I'm a Club Nintendo member all the way. I recently ordered Game & Watch Collection. Of course I don't expect much from it, but it's another game to the collection- and it's free. I'm thinking about doing that as my first review when I get it, what do you guys think?

Sounds great! I was going to get that, but I got impatient and ordered the deck of cards. They're all great little collector's items.

I wonder if Nintendo will release the second Game & Watch collection over here in the states. I think they have 3 of them in Japan at the moment?

The great thing about the 360 isn't beating the games. It's showing everyone online that I did

I need 1250 points before I would have enough points for the Game And Watch game. Think about it, it will be worth something in a few years. Especially if you receive it factory sealed and keep it that way.

Um... isn't Game & Watch Collection only 800 points? I believe so since I already ordered it.

Here is a tip guys! This is what a buddy of mine does, I don't recommend everyone to do this, but if you are saving up for a certain item at club Nintendo go to your local EB/Gamestop, hopefully you are pretty familiar with the workers there so they won't bust you out and get mad at you if they see you doing this.
Most people don't end up registering their items, also EB/Gamestop puts out empty cases of the game, look for the Nintendo released ones since they usually carry the code, most third party games do not.

Next time bring in a book or magazine with you, look through the DS/Wii empty game cases, open it up and pretend that you are taking a look at the manual, usually the paper with the code is right infront, just slip it out, stick it in your book/magazine.
Take it on home and register it and get free points at a more rapid pace.

However if you are buddies with the people there, you can ask them if you can grab some of the code sheets from their empty cases, most of them don't care since it is a store display and as I said before, a very high percentage of people don't even bother registering their code.

As I said I don't recommend everyone to do this, especially if you view something morally wrong with it, or appreciate signing up for your codes in a more legit manor, but if you really want that game and watch collection, have a go at it.

Sega Does What Nintendon't

I just need 110 more points and I will be able to get the game and watch game.

Is there anyway to get credit for stuff you got online before you linked your Wii to your club Nintendo account?

Oh and just to let everyone know, Game & Watch Collection is coming in the mail as I type this and has been for about a day. It will take 4-10 bussiness days so expect a review on it sometime after that, or maybe I'll do my first ever "first impressions" and then a review. I don't really know yet, but the point is that I have officialy decided on making Game & Watch Collection as my first ever DS game review.

That's a good question...
Maybe if you delete and redownload the wiiware/virtual console game(that's what you meant, right?) it'll show up on Club nintendo? I never took my old wii online, so this is just a guess.

Club Nintendo Question:
I have my DSi registered and I took the survey for it. It then asked me to link the system to my account, but, since I have no WI-FI at home, I am unable to do this. It remains in my To-Do list(It says Link System), and it says "Expires **/**/****(you don't need to know the date, lol). It just means the chance to link the system will expire, not the system's registration as well, correct?
Just me worrying, thanks in advance...

I haven't used any of my coins yet, don't know what to get.
I recently got my calendar for getting to Gold status last year, made a video of it [/advertising]. Pretty impressed with it actually. I just wish I knew about the post-play surveys though, would've been able to get the Mario hat if I filled those out in time. :(

Nevermind; I think the expiration date is just for my chance to earn coins, which I don't really care about.

Since I made this topic, I ordered the following things:

Grill-Off with Ultra Hand!

Which is a HORRIBLE wiiware game. Fun to get though, I guess.

And I, just today, ordered a Wii Controller Bin:

Seems pretty cool, gonna probably use it for cables, USB dongles, and stuff like that.

Right now I have reached the Gold Status, and hope to reach Platinum by the end of next month.

All other countries have a better one probably because the people in USA have more points.

I am excited to see the platinum reward this year because I reached platinum.

I read up on it; it's a lot easier to get points in Japan than it is in the US/Canada and Europe. They get more coins, and their rewards cost less.

NoA's rewards absolutely suck. I have Platinum status, and I'm hoping the reward is awesome.

I didn't mean the coins are easier to get, but that people in America have more coins because they buy a lot more games.

At least they're not digital rewards, like wallpapers and stuff =/ I happen to like the rewards, I just wish they had more choices.
