So I finished Vampire Rain: Altered Species on the PS3 this morning...man did I love it. So many things that people bitch and complain about this game, that I find absolutely fine. Here's a few: The Difficulty: This game is actually not that difficulty. There's a couple of trial and error parts, but besides that the game isn't that tough. What makes it tough for people is when you try to play this game the way it isn't meant to be played. You have to sneak around, avoid enemies, and only fight them if it is absolutely necessary. The real problem is most gamers today lack patience. Thank FPS games for that. Everyone I know who has played this tries to rush into battle with every Vampire they see. You CAN NOT do this! If you like MGS or Splinter Cell...you'll probably enjoy this game. Overpowered Enemies: They're FUCKING Vampires! Of course they're going to be strong as hell. IT MAKES SENSE! Also...you're supposed to AVOID enemies. NOT fight them. There's a couple of points in the game where they let you fight enemies, but it's always in a way where you can definitely win. The Graphics: I'll be the first to admit that the graphics in this game are definitely below sub-par. Come on people...graphics don't MAKE a game though. While the graphics aren't spectacular, they aren't the worse around. Get over it, and enjoy the game. The Acting: Yes, the acting is pretty damn bad. I don't know about you guys, but I never look for, or even expect good acting from video games. When they have it, cool. When they don't, ah well...it's a video game. I wish the acting was better, but what'ya gonna do? It's a video game. Resident Evil always has shitty acting, but those games are great! These are a few key complaints from people that I really don't find valid. The game is exceptionally cheap now too! You can pick it up for 360 for $10 or less, and on PS3 for $20 or less. I got mine, new, for $20. Come on people...sit down, have some patience...and enjoy the ride. This game is actually pretty damn good. |

Honestly, my biggest complaint was the animation. It was obviously not motion-captured and it definitely suffered because of it. That was my BIGGEST complaint. The game itself was cool to me, especially the story. I really wish this game did better. I'd love to see a sequel. Oh, and don't be sorry, haha. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. |
