Introduction

This is the first of what will be a series of quick reviews. The difference with my quick reviews and my normal reviews is that my normal reviews are divided into sections (gameplay, graphics, etc.) while quick reviews won't. Another huge difference you will notice is that the quick reviews won't be NEAR as big.

First off, I am sorry I couldn't find much information for you guys (shown above). The reason is quite simple The version of this game that I am reviewing is one of the least popular versions, the plug-and-play. Now, the certain plug-and-play this game comes in isn't all Pole Position. The title of the plug-and-play is Ms. Pac-Man Collection. It consists of 5 games. Ms. Pac-Man, Mappy, Galaga Xevious, and of course, Pole Position. I won't be reviewing the whole set though, I will be reviewing each game seperately because they all deserve their own reviews. I might not review all 5 of the games in the collection, but you get what I'm saying. Now for the Pole Position review. Probably the most popular version of this game is the Arcade version, but even if you don't own Pole Position, you have probably atleast heard of it. If not, I am sorry for you. Pole Position is a great game and it is worth a shot. It is a very short and easy game, but it is fun while it lasts. In this specific version, you control your racecar by twisting the joystick located on the paddle. You hold down the big red button to accelerate and you click the small red button to put your car into low or high gear. Of course, if you want to finish the race on time, you won't make it if you stay in low gear. Low gear is pretty much for when you are close to crashing into something, to assist you in avoiding it. The handy-dandy joystick on the top of the paddle makes it feel like you are in the arcade again. The controls are great and the visuals are fantastic when you think about what you're really playing. Well colored tracks are a big plus as well. The objective in the few races there is each time is that you must finish the race in the time limit. Crashing into fellow racecars or billboards won't cost you the whole race, it will just waste your time- if you crash too many times it will cost you the race, but oh well. The obstacles eventually become really easy to avoid and do get monotonous at the least. But overall, it is a great game for its time and it still hasn't collected any dust, sitting on my shelf.

Final Rating: 7.5/10

These aren't the droids we're looking for.

Great little review! This is probably the first review that isn't about a current-gen game (even if it is a plug-n-play), so that's awesome! Really looking forward to more reviews! Maybe some more retro reviews? Keep it up!

Thanks, and lol I wasn't even aware. I'm suprised that no one else made a past-gen game review yet. Also, I will definitely be posting more retro reviews too.

Nice review, I've been thinking of starting up some retro gen reviews, since I don't really play too much of the current gen. But I might have to make a Tekken 6 Review. :D
