Your life changes; food tastes better, the air smells sweeter, riches rain down from the heavens, pretty ladies flock to your bedchambers 24/7, etc etc. Okay, I'll stop being an ass. :p It's like the others have said; you are a regular user with the ability to move/delete/merge threads, and you are expected to help keep order on the forums by deleting spam, warning trolls to behave, putting a stop to offensive conversations, etc.
