My uncle's friend's past band had Pantera open for them back in the 80's......my uncle did sound check for them........and they are so laid back and cool from what my uncle tells me........ anyone who has dimebag stories to tell please let us know your experiences with the metal god. |

ow man that was one of the saddest moments ever =( Dimebag Darrell was not only (imo) the best lead guitarist in history, but also a really cool guy. According to many he was very fun to hang out and have a beer with and he always tried making your day just a little bit better when you met him... RIP dude... you were the best |

Dime is one of my favorite guitar players ever, I loved how he managed to take Texas blues riffs and change them into heavy as hell metal. His sound is one of my favorite guitar sounds ever. I remember reading a story about Dime, that he was doing a signing at a guitar shop somewhere and this kid came in with his father and wanted an autograph. I guess the father started talking to Dime and said that he was going through a rough patch and that music meant everything to his kid and what not. Dime bought the kid a guitar without hesitation....just the type of guy he was |

Dimebag was a above average guitarist. He was amazing at the music he played and he loved to play it. I mean, I don't consider him the best, but he was damn good. |
