As most of you know I have a soft spot in my heart for racing games. It goes back to the early 90's when I use to sit and play Super Mario Kart for hours at a time. The same thing can be said about some Need for Speed game on the PC (I loved that Tandy computer) and Road Rash. Racing fans get excited because May is going to be a killer month for the genre!!!! Three heavy hitters are going to be released and while I wish I could be practical and only pick up one of these games, I can't help but get all three.    Split/Second - So far all of the coverage has been solely positive. Not only am I excited about laying my eyes on this gorgeous game, but the game play seems so much fun. Reminds me a lot of Burnout minus the car to car takedowns and more environmental ones. Modnation Racers - I joined the beta a few months back and even though it wasn't too polished the possibilities were endless. I love kart racers and this seems to be done right. Plus I love the whole aspect of creating your characters and courses. I'm thinking of even getting the PSP version of this game!! Blur- I spent a fair amount of time with the multiplayer beta and that alone has me excited to play more. While the game didn't really offer anything new when it came to gameplay, I still had a blast leveling up and unlocking new cars. So what racing games are you looking forward to next month? |

Well from what I have seen of Blur it looks pretty intresting so I might pick that up

I can't wait for Modnation Racers! Definatly getting the PS3 version, and I'll probably get it on the PSP in time. Haven't heard of the other games, I'll look 'em up. |

I rarely do that but I was thinking of getting the PSP version as well. I'm not sure if there is any connectivity stuff but it will be cool if there is. |

Very much interested in mod nation racers, I actually still have to play the Blur demo....maybe I should just hold off and buy the retail game and be surprised? |

Apparantly the Blur Multiplayer Beta was more popular than expected so they just made it available to everyone on XBL. I may download it today just to see what its like and whether I should actually buy it. |

I'm not a big racing games fan. But Kart Racers do interest me, and I think Modnation looks awesome. But as for getting it at release I'm not so sure. May is a packed month with games that I'm looking forward to more. Mainly Red Dead Redemption

I am SUPER excited for all 3 actually, I love racing games, not the super realistic ones with actual car mechanics like Gran Turismo, or Forza persay, but I love the Burnout Series, and Kart racers and what have you. I played a lot of the Blur Beta and lovvvveeddd it, had so much fun with some buddies, love switching through the 3 weapons/powerups. Will pick it up day one. Modnation Racers I would love to have to finally have more of a multiplayer option for games on the PS3. Split second looks fantastic, but I may need to hold off just a bit to not break my wallet and purchase it when the price is a bit lower, but it has a cool concept and reminds me of Burnout which I of course love. |

Yea I know you love racers like I do. After playing the demos for all 3 games I think Split/Second is going to be the Burnout game that I actually wanted. |
