I almost just cried a little. I just beat Mega Man 2 on the original Nintendo Entertainment System for the first time in my life. I've beaten it on other systems and emulators, but today, I beat it on it's intended console. I have finally truly conquered the game of my childhood, the game that introduced me to Mega Man, and also the game that my grandmother gave to me that really did change my life. Today, I'm a man.

The game has sentimental value to me, because, as stated above, my grandmother who is no longer with us gave it to me as a gift when I was around 4 or 5. It would become my favorite game of all time, and Mega Man would become my favorite character and hero of all time

I feel extremely accomplished today, now that I've done this.

Have you ever felt this way after completing a game in a certain way?

Good job, man. I've never had anything like that before. But, I generally feel good after beating a game on Hard Mode (Which I need to do for MGS1 again, because the one I'm doing right now is kicking my ass). A game that my grandmother, who is also deceased, had bought me was stolen (M&L: Partners in Time), and that was very upsetting. I bought it again on eBay, and it was a fake. I also sold FE: PoR, which even today I believe was one the the stupidest gaming choices I've ever made (my grandma bought me both of those games for Christmas).

Good for you man, Mega Man 2 is an excellent game!

My moment would be when I finally mastered taking on the "sandmonster" in the orginal Mega Man without resorting to the pause-trick.

Ah, the Yellow Devil. He can be tough. If you use Elec Man's weapon, you can get him easy, though!

Take it easy guys. I liked where this thread was headed until it yet again turned into a sexuality debate/hate thread.

thats great Johnny, I have yet to have that feeling but I bet if I beat the Ninja Gaiden trilogy on the NES, I'd get that same feeling too. I'm still healing from the last time these games kicked my ass.

ps3girlgamer, remember what we talked about. Boneyard and Andsy, those comments are uncalled for. One more sexually related post all posts of anyone involved will be deleted in this thread.

I have just read through all of the posts here and this is a perfect example of a perfectly good thread being ruined by immaturity and petty bickering. This is a discussion about beating Mega Man 2, not a thread for discussing and demeaning someone's sexuality. In the past, this would have merited locking the topic, but that's not fair to the others who have something meaningful to contribute. The offensive posts have been deleted. The next one who resurrects the flame war will be given a warning.

I do feel slightly relieved and satisfied after beating a game on the hardest difficulty. Mainly because I know that I will never have to do it again. If I cry over beating a game I know I've played too much :)

Good for you Jonny.

Maybe a little off-topic, but which boss-order did you do in your runthrough of MegaMan 2? And did you use Flashmans timestop on Quick Man's stage?

And a bitch-match where DizzyDial didn't contribute? Guess there's a first time for everything... XD

[/quote]I used the same order I always do: Flash Man, Metal Man, Quick Man, Bubble Man, Wood Man, Air Man, Heat Man, Crash Man. Out of order, but it works for me. It's how I've always done it. Using that order, I was able to beat Mega Man 2 on the Anniversary Collection in 28:36. That's my record...though I don't think it's really valid as it isn't on the NES, it was on the PS2.

I disagree, if it has anything to do with my comment then it was just harmless banter fueled by the comments of other people, offense is subjective, I will be offended by things that you would not be etc.
