For me its has to be Mega Man X for the SNES. To me it has to be the best game ever made for that system, and just everything was right with it. The difficulty, the music, the graphics, and just the overall feeling of it. This is what marked me as a fan of the series for life. Honestly, I believe I have beat the game 15 times no lie, its just that great. Wow, just thinking about it kinda makes me pop it into my SNES.... hmmm, perhaps I'll give it a shot tonight again hehehe

Super Mario 64. The first time I ever "feel in love" with a game. Its still my favorite game of all time.

Well...

It seems to be a tie with me between Super Mario Brothers for the NES and Killer Instinct on the N64. They have deep running roots in my past. Neither are my favorite game but when I reflect on gaming and my past... they show up for various reasons.

Pokemon Blue - my first game. I played it nonstop, fell in love with it, and beat it countless times over the years.

There are alot of nostalgic games for me but i have to say tmnt Hyperstone Heist for Sega Genesis. i remember skipping a kindergarden play to stay home and keep playing it, i screamed and cried until my grandma gave in. don't know why that stuck with me but i've always remembered that.

I echo the two above who said Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins and Pokemon Blue. Both were some of the earliest games I remember playing and I love just thinking about how much fun I had playing them. Along with those two gems I have to include Donkey Kong Country (SNES) and Banjo Kazooie (N64). I've played those two games so many times over the past 15 years that I'm pretty much a walking, talking strategy guide. Some great times have been had playing those games.

The Secret Of Monkey Island and Mega Man 2.

TSOMI because it was the first game I ever saw, back on a friend of my sisters old Amiga, since that day I've made sure I at least see that game each year of my life. And it's bloody hilarious as well.

Mega Man 2 beacuse its easily the best in the entire series. And I had and played the first one before Mega Man 2, but they really upped their ante with the second one huh? And the music is awesome.

My most nostalgic game is a deadlock tie between Kid Icarus and The Legend of Zelda both for the NES. Two of my first games that I played the heck out of back in the mid-80's. I could not even begin to guess how many times I beat these games and they still never lost any replay value.

Definately Final fantasy II (IV) for the SNES. While I did casually play Dragon Warrior and the first Final fantasy this was the first RPG that I ever lost myself in. It's somewhat linear to the Final Fantasy titles that came later but a storyline that is top notch especially for it's time.

Probably the original Mega Man series and the original Super Mario Bros games. I never get tired of them and play all of them every now and again.

Goldeneye for N64. I will always remember the days when me and my 2 brothers would sit at the TV playing it on split screen and me always getting my ass kicked by my oldest brother who would always be the really short guy. Days that I will always remember, but never see again.

The original Legend of Zelda on the NES, and Earthbound on the SNES.

I still remember playing Zelda at my neighbors house every single day for an entire summer vacation until we beat it (No internet for help back then)

And Earthbound has stuck with me over the years. I still play it occasionally, and some parts turn me into an emotional mess.. lol
