Removing Stickers

Alright so bought some games from a pawn shop recently and all four games I got cost me $5 a game. Each game was LOADED with store stickers on it (4 per game) so I purchased some Goo Gone to remove them.

When I got home I started removing all the games, manuals and inserts when I realized that the store placed one of the four stickers on the acutal insert, instead of the case...

So I'm wondering what is the best way to remove these stickers without wrecking the insert.

Any ideas?

I hate when stores do that. What I find sometimes works is using a blow dryer on those stickers. But that doesn't always work.

just try to carefully peel them off. Unless they're really old they shouldn't bond so hard as to damage the label.

If not, CLR works well.

I'm lucky enough to never have had a game with a sticker on the insert. I know that would really, really annoy me.
The only thing I can think of is to remove it as slowly as possible. If any signs of the sticker starting to leave residue then start at another corner of it.

If you mess up the insert, there is always the option of printing a new one off.

You should be able to take the sticker off carefully without damaging the insert. My gamestop puts stickers on the inserts of the games and I've removed several and only one did I even have a minor problem with.

Peeling it off shouldn't be an issue, as long as you are gentle. They can tear but most stickers if your slow will peel off naturally. I've also heard the hair dryer trick works for stubborn ones, but I've never tried it.

As others have said the hair dryer trick is the best if it will not pull off on its own.

Unfortunetely Ive ran into this problem countless times and it pisses me off. The only advise I can give is dont use goo gone or chemicals cause it will obviously damage the insert. The only thing i do is carefully peel the sticker off from the cornerwith your fingernail. If it starts to tear use a different corner. If your lucky the sticker wont be too old and it will peel off easily. The older the sticker the harder it will be to get rid of.

The stickers seems to be on all the inserts pretty good so I think that just peeling them off won't work. the hair dryer however will heat the sticker up and loosen the glue, so I think this is my best bet. I'll try it out this weekend and let you all know.

the sticker is on the insert so switching the case would not work.

The game inserts are usually slick and glossy enough to allow you to peel off the sticker without damaging the insert or leaving behind sticker goop. This is of course assuming that the sticker hasn't been on there for too long, as the adhesive in those cheaply-made price stickers hardens over time and bonds to the paper like cement. The best thing you can do is carefully peel back a corner, slowly and steadily peel off the sticker, and say a prayer that it doesn't cause a rip. If it leave sticker goop, I recommend using lighter fluid. I use it to remove gunk from book covers and it actually works very well and it doesn't seem to cause any damage.
