I did the Intro from Shining Force EXA on the PS2. How is the quality to you guys and gals? Looks pretty close to the source and came in at 32 or so mb's for nearly 2 minutes. Not too bad I guess, though 11 minutes might be kinda big expecially when I start voicing over.

I am not sure about the black bars on the side. I can probably get rid of them but I am not sure if I'd want to, everyone seems to keep them even though the picture is closer to 640x450 not 720x480.

I captured the video in Pinnacle Studio 12 which I find really nice. Cleaned up the video in Handbreak. MPEG2 settings were near max for the capture with Handbreak encoding to H.264.

Any critique on the quality and picture size is welcome!

Looks really good. That is about the best the Dazzle can do, so I would stick with those settings... I don't remember, but PS2 may have a 16:9 option... I know 360 and PS3 do...

Yeah some games do have a 16:9. Thanks for the feedback. Dazzle isn't so bad, it was cheap. Biggest problem is that I have to play it in Composite on my HDTV as I use S-Video on the Dazzle. So playing it is ugly lol.

I have the same exact issue.

I capture using BlackMagic Intensity, which takes HDMI, Component and Composite in. For the Wii + PS2 I have to use composite, and my god does it look ugly while I'm playing. :|
