I will go with metal gear solid because every game in the series has been a masterpiece in my opinion. Final fantasy would be up there, but it has a few games that are bad. Legend of Zelda defines gold, but cdi games ;). |

I personally wouldn't count CD-i Games, since they're not made by Nintendo. My favourite series is for shure Zelda, but i have to say that i was never a fan of the 3D Zeldas. I love the 2D Zelda's like Minish Cap, A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening and stuff. |

Really? I personally enjoy the 3d ones more. I really like a link's awakening though(my first zelda). I am not a huge fan of a link to the past though. I played it after the 3D/GB Zelda games and didn't enjoy it as much as most people and I found the combat frustrating many times. Still an amazing game, but I didn't find it on the level of the 3D games. |

Wayyyy too many to choose from, but over all it'd come down to Metal Gear Solid, Paper Mario, and Final Fantasy. The Tales series would be close too, as well as the 'Chrono' series.

Anything developed by Nintendo, Team Ico, Capcom or Rockstar (I suppose that is pretty broad, but whatever) If I had to pick one I would say the Super Mario series. Just too many 5 star games. The Original, SMB3, Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, and Galaxy 1 &2. (Plus all of the awesome spin offs like Paper Mario, Mario Kart, etc). Mario is the definition of fun when it comes to video games. After that some of my top series would be GTA, Zelda, Metroid, No More Heroes, and Spyro. Edited by Ross R., Jun 1 2010, 05:41 PM.

It might sound very, very cliche. But my overall favorite game series of all time is probably the Mass Effect series, the first more than the second so far. The first just had so many different ways you could go with things, and interesting events that left me waiting anxiously for the sequel just to see the outcome. For example, playing through the first game for the second time on a diffent gamer profile, I saved the Rakni queen, and when I transfered the character to the second game I was so excited when the Rakni follower started speaking to me about three hours in. Thank you! Is anyone else tired of hearing Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy? I just never understood what was so great about those series. I'd say the Super Mario series, Paper Mario series, Pokemon, or Animal Crossing series. Pokemon is close, but I already said once before that Pokemon actually isn't my favorite series or TV show. |

Final Fantasy would be my top pick, though I use to love Grandia to bits, I hope one day we see some sort of Grandia collection. Lunar as well, with the PS3 being on blu ray you can def do some pretty cool collections! Next would be Harvest Moon, I own many Harvest Moon games, and something about the franchise just keeps me entertained. |
