how do you clean a ps2?

i rember when i boght my ps2 when it first came out. it was running smoth then but now it cant play the LEAST scratched disks. i dont know how to clean my ps2 so can you guys and girls please please PLEASE help me. the palystation 2 is my fav seystem, so can you guys tell me how to bring it back to life? if you can tell me a way with OUT taking it apart, thank you very very much!!

Disk read error, problem? Had this too. But I think you have to take it apart to correct that problem. I think Lukemorse1 on youtube has videos up about it.

well you can't really clean a console without taking it apart dude =P
Sounds like the laser is getting weak, but the laser module is more expensive to replace then just spending the $20 and buying a used, functioning PS2 from a flea-market.
If you feel really nostalgic about your first system (as I often do), just replace the broken internals with working ones from a cheap PS2.

If you do go down the route of cleaning the lens.

You have to be EXTRA careful. Those lenses are made out of really delicate components.
VSigma100: If I've learned anything on here it's that Andsy is a crazy bastard. LOL.
