Im thinking of selling my wii as i never use it and was wanting some good ps2 rpg's. is there any games i should look at for the wii to make it worthwhile keeping. I have metroid,zelda and thats about it . |

Monster Hunter Tri Mario Galaxy 2 (Scored 10 both IGN and Gamespot) Super Smash Bros. Brawl Yeah, i have to say me too i'm not a big fan of the Wii. I think it lacks of variety, and it's annoying that there are so many acessoires you need. Edited by Overtimee, Jun 12 2010, 03:03 PM.

House of the Dead 2 & 3 Returns House of the Dead Overkill Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 Those are worth checking out, but if you're not playing the system that often and would have more fun with PS2 RPG's then sell it. I never seem to play my Wii either even though I just bought Mario Galaxy 2. I just never want to plug it in for some reason. lol. |

There is tons of good games on the Wii,i have beaten 30 games on it and i think people that don't do research will end up missing on some great games. I like my Wii. I was a late adopter and the only thing holding me back is the knowledge that the games aren't going anywhere and can only get cheaper, so I buy PS2 and Cube games more. |

Here are some titles that i can recommend that have been released so far. Muramasa the Demon Blade Madworld New Super Mario Bros Wii Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles - Echoes of Time Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles - Crystal Bearers And then ofcourse Metroid Other M and Zelda Wii will come out this year, or so they say we don't know yet for sure. |

Check out the Wii sub-section and you'll find plenty of threads with game recommendations. I think that the Wii is a great system and well worth keeping for both the first-party titles as well as the excellent third-party games. PS2 RPGs are great as well, no argument there, but I don't recommend writing off the Wii just yet. |

Since you're an RPG fan, you're probably better off with the PS2 RPGs considering the Wii doesn't have very many. But the Wii does have many other great games, like Punch-Out, Metroid, Zelda, Virtual Console games, WiiWare games like the new Contra, Castlevania, Excitebike, etc. games. Also, other fun games like ExciteTruck, ExciteBots, Deadly Creatures (looks cool), A Boy and His Blob, No More Heroes, Red Steel, Mario Party 8 (great for parties), and a bunch of other good games. If RPGs are your only focus, then the PS2 games would be a great choice. But if you don't mind taking a break from RPGs and enjoying other genres, then the Wii would be a great choice. Also, there's a really great looking RPG coming to the Wii soon called Arc Rise Fantasia. Might want to look into that. But it might not be worth it anyway because you're most likely not going to get very much for your Wii and those PS2 RPGs are expensive. You'll be getting rid of a system with a lot of great games and good upcoming RPGs like Arc Rise Fantasia and Dragon Quest 10 and trading all that potentional for maybe on or two rare PS2 games. Not really worth it when you think about it, even if you're an RPG fan. But if you're looking for good PS2 RPGs, I'd definitely recommend Wild Arms: Alter Code F, Wild Arms 3, Dragon Quest 8, and Rogue Galaxy. They're all cheap, too, unlike some of the other rarer, harder-to-find and very-expensive ones. Enjoy! |

There is billions of systems out there, right now that cost less money, and is worth it more then the Wii. A Wii is just a Gamecube with features. Nintendo has been pulling this crap from day one with the NES. The games is fun and all, but it is kiddy nonsense. Any system released after the original Nes is not worth it. There are games, but they aren't soo hot. It just gets lamer, and lamer. While there are still those gems, out there. It just keeps on getting weaker. Like waiting for a sign or something to occur, when the gaming universe inverse itself. |

Now to offer a more constructive opinion, you have DK country coming out soon, along with the new zelda, kirby, 007 golden eye and metroid other M. These games are all looking really good, so I say hang onto it for now. |

Those systems could be had for the price of a few latte's. Not worth trading in a system that still retails for 199. Not with, like KingJames mentions, a great selection of titles on its way for 2010 and 2011. |

Okay lets consider what KJ88 said. DKC- is a SNES game. If they do release a new DKC what is stopping it from being released on the GCN? Nothing. Do we really want a new DKC? that is not how it looked on the SNES. Nope. Speaking of DKC I am surprised they have not released the fourth game already. zelda. Okay, get this, between you peoples here. Zelda is just another Y's clone. It is nintendo's, way of making it into the J-rpg world. The game we all grewed up with is now on the NES, the SNES remake, and even the GCN. Why would you download another Zelda. Nintendo also screwed up Zelda. Of course not by making Link get married ( which already occured in the logical last Y's series ), but by changing his looks to go with the 3d, atmosphere. Instead of remaking Link into his scarlet pimplnel, self. They turned him into some kind of Midevil Pretty boy. They even advanced the games in the wrong order leaving link with his N64 appearance. I mean Nintendo sunked low, and they just keep on sinking. Yes the fans, the kiddies gets to enjoy the new Zelda, but what about us original fans. Why should we purchase a game that is derailed, in soooo many ways, just thanks to features it can offer us? Speaking of Zelda, while there is nice gimmicks, the game ended at the second game, with the GB game being the last in line. Leaving us with Super-hypo-commercial-weak Zelda. Have you seen the new comics? It is so uncreative, and while worth reading, It is just the addictiveness of not wanting to accept. Zelda has left the building and Link is still floating on the board and plank in the middle of nowheres. kirby . There was a Kirby game for the GCN. However they canned that. Guess what? Did you know all the kirbys after the N64 game is not the real Kirby? The creator of Kirby, makes the games in terms of specialty, not for the sake of money. If you look up Kirby, and have a feel for the games, you will realize the difference. In fact ever wonder why Kirby never had a real fourth game? Non was ever made. The N64 ( while a great Kirby game like all ) was another forced release, that had sooo much to offer but gave us so little. Yes buy another Kirby, but remember, this. These new kirbys ( like RE5, RE6, RE999 ) was never meant to be. Wow it is soo phun, like the NES original. 007 golden eye- Port. That is all I can say. I can play it on my real N64, or via emulator, and link up to multiple players. Why bother. Hell, I bet there is some emu group out there wasting time, porting the N64 to the Wii, for no reason at all, just to see if they can play it on a Wii, PS3, PS2, 360, X-Box or whatever. Maybe even dreamcast. I will admit the usage of the Game engine is great for people into Doom editing. Otherwise no reason to get this game. Oh Oh Oh remember back in 03 when everybody was crying about how we can never see Bond in action, so they made this game. It was done with Die Hard on the PSX, years ago. metroid other M. Guy who made this, made gameboy, and now he is suffering watchign you people play this game like no tommorow. Hurray another Metroid. Another game not on the GCN, that makes no sense whatever to the whole storyline. Has anybody ever said, why was there no countdown sequence in prime???? Then said, why did Metroid Prime NOT Give the power of Screw attack afterwards, so we can see Samus battle her way threw ( metroids of course while trying to make some kind of insane escape. Everybody who can read, this can imagine Samus in Prime ( flying blind ) escaping from Metroid. THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF THE GAME WAS TO SEE WHAT SAMUS SEE'S...........Oh wow see escapes. Then we get to fight emporer polygon, and the other makemup bounty hunters, and gel ridley. Metroid=Castlevania........in spaceeeeeeeeeeeeee....duhhhhhhhhhh. Like Kid Icarius= Castlevania------in Heavannnnnnnnnnn....duhhhhhhhhhh. See how simple that was. There is no excuse to why there was no Metroid on the N64( asides it being the most usless pile of ) or there was no chase scene on the GCN. Then years later some jerk at Nintendo is going to add the chase scene in, and we will be like finally after buying the game five times in a row, they fixed it. So now HF128. Just to let you know, the Wii is really a GCN with a little boost. We should wait until 2011, so that we can trade in our 10 cent Wii for another waste of time. After the TurboGrafix 16, it was just commercial, commercial, and then the Saturn showed up. Thinking about this. In the West world. Videogames had it soooo bad back then, it just got worst. Videogames should be like the VCR. It is a perfect consumer design. You need to have some kind of knowledge to deal with it. More importantly, You can't god mode your way using the mouse key. You gotta spend time damaging your tape with a cheap VCR, somebody said it was nice to have. You got the Turbografix, The Genesis, The master System, The SNES, Saturn, PSX, and even N64 ( yeah right ). Even the Atari Juggalo. The Wii even compared to the 360 and PS3 is the most weakest link. Remember Malibu Stacy? Remember the Fantastic Four Song. ON a Space Adventure They got hit by Cosmic Rayyysss... There forms changed forevarrrr In the most fantastic way No Need to fear there hear, lets call for Four. Fantastic Four, No Need no more!!!! SEGA is Elalllllasstticcc MSX can change from sight PCE the human tourch The SNK just loves to fight Call for four Fantastic four We don't need no more. Fantastic Four. Then the evil masked Doctor NES appears, who wants to destroy the cosmos's like he did back in Spider-man fox special The Wii is evil, the Wii is doctor doom, trying to make you smoke, weed that can lead you to doom. Well, you can buy PS2 games really cheap nowadays and from the looks of it, Wii is going to have a good year this year and the next. I say keep your Wii, PS2 games won't be going anywhere anytime soon. Start looking for good Wii games instead, they are just as cheap. I wish I have a Wii, there's games in there that really appeals my taste. |

Okay, all systems have games that everybody likes. It does not mean we should buy them all. Think about it like this. What is truly revolutionary about the Wii, that the GCN did not do. Network games Downlaodable games That controller gimmick. Nintendo did this for money, to stay afloat. They have too many people working for them, and then need to keep the company running. They are the enemy my freind. They used the family image to stay on top. They ripped off the PCEngine from the very start. The pooed on SONY when they made the move to the Cdi. They tried to sue SONY over the vibrating control, and claiming it was there invention. They stopped being Nintendo after the SNES, and even when the N64. They got sooooo desperate they used Miyamoto in the front lines, and then when things could not get any worst they lost RARe to Mafiasoft. They tried so hard, to maintain there image. The Wii, is a joke. Nintendo stated that carts were better. Which is true. However insteading making a flash card ( as with the PCE ) they made a cart fatty PCB instead. In America they made the giant ones we are used to seeing, and even the gianter ones in europe. ALL THIS TIME THEY HAD NICE SMALL BEAUTIFUL CARTS. Sell, your Wii, while you can. It is no good. They are all no good. Like the song said. Just don't look, Just don't look, Just don't look, Just don't look. They are still renaming things, editing things out. They don't care about the consumer. To them America is just another place to withdraw money out of. They don't love us. They love the money, we give to them. The people at Nintendo knows it. Hudson Soft is numba one. I highly recommend these games: Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure No More Heroes No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle Trauma Team Tatsunoko vs. Capcom Monster Hunter Tri Sin & Punishment: Star Sucessor MadWorld (Really short but entertaining as hell) Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition (Only worth playing if you haven't played the PS2 or PC versions) Excite Truck (My personal favorite launch title) Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World (Great RPG, bad voice overs) Endless Ocean: Blue World (This game caught me by complete surprise and blew my mind from how amazing it was. :D) This is only a third of my Wii collection, but these are the ones that stuck out the most. I think the Wii has more variety than people give it credit for.

I'm confused, as far as I can tell, you pretty much hate all of the big 3, would that be correct? You say Nintendo uses these "gimmicks" such as Downloadable games, online play and motion control, if you consider these cheap gimmicks then I don't see how you can like any video game company. These features are what move video games forward, games wouldn't sell if we were still playing games with SNES quality graphics, no online play, etc. I'm interested to know why you're a member of a video game forum when it seems you don't even like games. Also, to the OP, some games I'd recommend which may have already been mentioned: Excite Truck Super Paper Mario Geometry Wars Galaxies (Very addictive and you can find it for just a few bucks) Mario Strikers Charged Resident Evil The Umbrella Chronicles Edited by AGreyPlays, Jul 21 2010, 09:10 AM.
