Is Tetris Party Deluxe on the DS significantly different from the original Tetris DS? Wonder if it's worth getting if you already have the other. Also, is the PSP mini version significantly different, too? |

I own a Turbo-Grafx, I haven't gotten into it that much yet but I can recommend what I know about ![]() Neutopia is a great zelda clone. It follows Zelda 1 on the NES pretty closely. They also made a sequel, however it is expensive. Chew Man Fu was just recently reviewed my Spida1a and it looked really well done. Here's a link for his review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ojPsl6TSz4&videos=9_PYKcmfHhE. I personally haven't played it yet. Alien Crush is a pretty fun pinball game, with the pinball game designed in a really strange alien background. Splatterhouse is a decent platformer. JJ & Jeff is decent as well. Bloody Wolf is a great contra style shooter, that I actually enjoy more than Contra. Super Star Soldier R and Blazing Lazers are both awesome shooters. It's a very shooter heavy console, finding good shooters isn't too hard on it. |

I would start off with Lost Odyssey. I'm a huge fan of classic final fantasy games and the creator of them made it as well. Plus, it's pretty cheap now selling for around $10

Thanks for the recommendations. The Turbografx 16 is one of those systems from my childhood that I always wanted, but was never able to get. By the time I had means to get the system myself, it had fallen from the radar, and next thing I knew it was N64 and Playstation battling it out. |

I never actually heard of it until I saw it on the Virtual Console for the Wii. Loved SNES so I had to try this out. I'm glad to say I wasn't disappointed ![]() Edit: I also forgot to mention Legendary Axe. It's one of the few awesome platformers on the console and is a great game. RPG's Neutopia I and II - every bit as good as the original Zelda game on the NES Cadash - Action/RPG (reminds me a lot of Zelda 2 without the world map) Dungeon Explorer - Top down 4 players Action / RPG Final Lap Twin - Yes its a racing game! Yes its a RPG! When you play story mode on Final Lap twin you get to play a weird Racing / RPG game like nothing else I have ever played. All the leveling / fighting that's done in normal RPGs in done with racing and you travel around town to town racing the legend of that town for cash and parts to upgrade your car. Platformers / Action Adventure Bonk Series - On par with Maro and Sonic! Must have for the console! New Adventure Island - Revamped with 16 bit graphics! Ninja Spirit - Action Adventure game! Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu - Action Adventure / Platforming Bloody Wolf - The TG-16s version of Contra. (One of my favorites on the system) Splatterhouse Legendary Axe SHMUP If you like SHMUPS there are so many on the console your in for a treat. In fact it rivals the Sega Saturn for being the best for the genre. here is just a preview........ Air Zonk Blazing Lazers Super Star Soldier Soldier Blade R-Type - The Best Port of the original R-Type game for the home console. Puzzle / Other Bomberman Series Chew Man Fu Parasol Stars Devils Crush - My all time favorite pinball game! Military Madness - Must have game for strategist fans Edited by majinpowers, Aug 2 2010, 01:54 PM.

All three games are totally different, so it depends on your taste in games. Pick Final Fantasy XIII if you want a lengthy JRPG experience, God of War III is you want a bloody hack-n-slash and Red Dead Redemption if you're in the mood for a massive sandbox game. Out of the three games listed, God of War III is my favorite simply for the epic boss fights, the accessible controls and the stunning visuals. It's also easy to pick up and play and it's not overlong. I would recommend the others only if you can commit the time. |

The key differences in Tetris Party Deluxe are the style, the extra gameplay modes and a bigger emphasis on multiplayer. Outside of that, it's still the same Tetris we all know and love. I think it's actually better than Tetris DS in that if offers more variety, plus it's much easier to find. |

I'd definetly reccomend God of War: Chains of Olyimpius. Proboly the best game graphically on the psp and is a great hack n slash. Also I would reccomend the socom branch off games. If you are in the mood for a tactical shooter, or Dissidia: Final Fantasy if you are in the mood for an on the go jrpg. |

Ok, well when the new 360 was announced, I pledged to buy the 360 later this year. Well... I'm kinda having second thoughts. I have a PS3, so if the main thing I'm gonna be playing on it is multiplatform games then I don't want it. I need tons of exclusives to get me to get one, and I've having problems finding them. As of right now, I can think of the Gears series, the Mass Effect series (the latter of which may very well come to PS3), an RPG here or there, Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, and a good couple of Arcade games. Any other exclusives that would get me to buy the system? I'm not big on FPS's so Halo doesn't interest me that much (if I had a 360 I'd play them, but I can live without them). And I don't like Simulation racers so Forza doesn't interest me much. Thanks. Edited by matt456p, Aug 3 2010, 07:49 PM.

As far as I can see, the 360 mostly focuses on multiplatform games (although I only have around 17 games for the system so don't look to me for the highest of opinions). Though it does have some good RPG exclusives like Blue Dragon, which I am enjoying. Although, the 360 does open up room for a whole other library of games from the original Xbox such as the Fable games, Elder Scrolls games, and much more multiplatform games. Also, I will say that FPS's take up most of the 360's library as far as I can see. I still need to pick up a few of the gems myself. |

I would reccomend Dissidi a: Final Fantasy if your the mood for an on the go final fantasy. Final Fantasy Tactics, great remake from the ps1 version. Half minute hero if you like fast objective based rpg games. Phantasy Star portable is another great rpg, the same with final fantasy ii which is a great remake. Those are all the great rpg's that I own but there are tons more. Edited by NickMargetis, Aug 3 2010, 08:20 PM.

@pokemonzrpg Thanks, that's kinda what I was thinking. In terms of retail games, not too, too many are interesting me enough to buy a whole system. And thanks for bringing up backwords compatability, but honestly, the original xbox has never really interested me. It's those darn Arcade titles that make me want it, lol. |

To be honest, I don't know what to suggest. I used to own a 360, but I didn't want to bring it to Japan. So, I gave it to my brother. So, I really haven't been keeping up with the system@_@. I do agree with pokemonzrpg's sentiments about the 360's library being filled with FPS games and multiplatform games. Of the exclusives, there are some fantastic games. Hell, Lost Odyssey alone is a good reason to buy the game, but that's because I absolutely love that game. If you don't feel like shelling out the money for one now, wait a little bit. That or you can be like me and flip a coin. If you don't like the result, then you have the answer you're looking for:p As for PSP RPGs, The Legend of Heroes series is quite good. There's also the Star Ocean 1 & II remakes, Lunar: Silver Star Harmony, FF I & II remakes and whole slew of others:D |

Honestly Matt as a PS3 owner who later bought a Xbox 360 I can say I regret the purchase. I love the party chat feature and the xbox controller is amazing. But the people I've met online are terrible almost any time I play a online game someone will join and the first thing they say is some racial slur or someone questioning my sexuality. In terms of games not many of them really appeal to me but that may be different for you. I like Halo but I could definitely live without it. Gears is the only 360 exclusive that makes me want to keep it. Fable 2 let me down compared to the first. And I plan on trying Mass effect on the PC. After having my 360 for about a year I play my PS3 WAY more except for the occasional Call of Duty get togethers I have with my friends. So Matt I recommend you just you just use your money to buy the onslaught of PSP, DS, PS3, and Wii games coming out here soon. |
