Ok, well when the new 360 was announced, I pledged to buy the 360 later this year.
Well... I'm kinda having second thoughts. I have a PS3, so if the main thing I'm gonna be playing on it is multiplatform games then I don't want it. I need tons of exclusives to get me to get one, and I've having problems finding them.

As of right now, I can think of the Gears series, the Mass Effect series (the latter of which may very well come to PS3), an RPG here or there, Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, and a good couple of Arcade games.

Any other exclusives that would get me to buy the system? I'm not big on FPS's so Halo doesn't interest me that much (if I had a 360 I'd play them, but I can live without them). And I don't like Simulation racers so Forza doesn't interest me much.

Thanks.
Well for me personally Gears of War, and Mass Effect were enough to get me to buy a 360. Those franchises are probably the best 360 has to offer so if that's not good enough then just stick with PS3 ;) I like these exclusives that I'm listing, but most are not enough to warrant buying a console over. (Aside from Dead Rising, since it's really badass.)

Also if you liked the previous Banjo Kazooie games then I wouldn't recommend getting Nuts and Bolts. The vehicle building aspect is great, but the missions are nothing but BS mini games.

Dead Rising
Deathsmiles
Earth Defense Force 2017
Metro 2033 (It's an FPS, but it's so immersive that it's worth at least a rental.)
Condemned Criminal Origins (MUCH better than the sequel)
Mass Effect 1 & 2
Alan Wake
Splinter Cell Conviction
Raiden Fighters Aces
Crackdown (Sequel is fine once it drops to $25 or less)
Ace Combat 6
Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 (In co-op)
Dead or Alive 4
Fable 2
Gears of War 1 & 2
Lost Odyssey
Deadly Premonition (So bad it's awesome ^_^ )

REZ HD
Banjo Kazooie, and Tooie
Perfect Dark
Shadow Complex
The Maw
Splosion Man
Castle Crashers
Cloning Clyde
DOOM 1 & 2
South Park Tower Defense
Trials HD
TMNT 1989 Arcade
Ikaruga
Snoopy Flying Aces
New Castlevania game tomorrow (Might be on PS3 too though, not sure.)

I just wanted to mention Dead Rising 2 is coming out in a month for both the PS3 and 360 so I think Dead Rising really wouldn't warrant a 360 purchase.

I was looking into buying a Sega Saturn for the game 'Shining the Holy Ark', which is an amazing game. If I do invest in one, what other games would be good to buy?

@NickMargets Decided I'll get Half Minute Hero, I had that when I had a 3000 and never finished it. I can pick it up on the PS Store for $20. Thanks.
P.S. I have Dissidia already and it's awesome, I love grinding out the characters!

@Cyanide, MajinPowers, Shaq Attack NinjaPenguin8969 Thanks for the replies.

I think I'm gonna take Shaq Attack's advice. There are some games I'd buy in a heartbeat if I had the system (Gears and Mass Effect), and others I'd buy but can live without (L4D and Halo), but ultimatly I don't think, for me, it's worth clunking $300 down on top of $20-$60 per game when I have all 4 other systems. I have also heard from people that the PSN community is much more mature, albeit smaller, than the Xbox Live community. Plus, there's a lot of games coming out for the systems I have! Wii's getting a CRAP load of games, the DS seems a little slow but there are a few I'll get, the PSP is getting a good bit of stuff as well as the PS3.

As for majinpower's suggestions, I've never really play any of these hardcore SHMUPS, so it's a genre that would take me a while to get into (that is, if I do end up enjoying them). And for the RPG's, Mass Effect 1 and 2 are the only ones that stick out and make me say "Man I want a 360!" (Plus, it's rumored they're coming to PS3). As for the action/adventure games, kinda the same thing, I'd buy some of them if I had the system but I can live without them.

And NinjaPenguin, you've really layed out all of the Arcade games that I REALLY want, but...

I think I'll take Shaq Attrack's advice and stick with what I got.

Thanks again everyone!

Here's a question I'll pose to the forum: what is a good fighting game for those who are not fans of the series? I bought BlazeBlue: Calamity Trigger for the Xbox 360 and I couldn't get into it, but I want to give the genre another chance. Titles I have been considering include Tekken 6 and Street Fighter IV, but I am not sure which game is friendly to newbies like myself. My last exposure to fighting games, before Blazeblue, was Mortal Kombat II back in the early 90's. Any recommendations to ease me back into the genre?

I haven't heard how the community and difficulty curve on the new Tekken is like, but when I used to play every game in the series it seemed like it was pretty newbie friendly, kind of the basics of fighting games without any gimmicks.

However, after seeing quite a few people play Street Fighter IV for the first time, I've heard that it is very difficult to jump into the onling community. Street Fighter is not only the bigger of the two franchises, but also the more complex. For the most part it seems like when one enters the online competition, one must know not only the technique of one's character and when to use said techniques, but also those of your opponent.

The problem is, of course, that there are players that even before the game's release knew what characters were the best in certain situations, and came into the game prepared. As of right now, it seems like the competetive player base is composed of players that spend a lot of time playing this game in particular, in other words huge fans of the franchise. Personally, I won't buy Street Fighter because I am not a fan of the series, and after getting my butt kicked over and over again, I don't think I would have the motivation to keep playing.

If you're looking for a game to enter without hitting the fan community wall, go for either Tekken.

If your looking for something on the 360 or PS3 then I would recommend Soul Caliber IV. The game is very fun and easy to get into plus its dirt cheap now so if you end up deciding VS fighting isn't your bag then your not out a lot of cash. Also the Tower of Lost Souls mode will give you plenty to do if you want to unlock everything. (I always liked the Tekken series of games as well but I haven't played Tekken 6 yet so I cant comment on it)

If you have a Wii I would recommend Super Smash Brothers Brawl and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom.

Super Smash Brothers is a great game anyone can get into and enjoy and it has one of the best one player story modes ever made in a Fighting game.

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is also a great game that has tag battle with huge combos. Its not as hardcore as say Marvel VS Capcom 2 is making it easy for anyone to pickup but its got enough depth so you can master play styles of characters.

I got 2900 Microsoft points and was thinking about getting a few downloadable games. SHMUPS and RPG's are my 2 favorite genres but I am open to anything. Some of the games I have been thinking about are....... (but I am open to any suggestions)

Limbo - The video for this looks great but was wondering if anyone has played it here and what they thought of the game.

After Burner Climax - Haven t heard too much about this but I dont see how it could be too bad.

Zeno Clash: Ultimate Edition - This game looks insane!!!!!

Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment

Aqua - This game looks really fun to me even tho everything I have looked up about it has trashed the game.

I plan on buying a new 360 game but I'm only choosing from games that are £5 or less from my local store. (I'm short on cash) :-/ These are the games;

Prince Of Persia

SEGA Superstar Tennis

Lost Planet

Blue Dragon

Too Human

What game should I buy?

I'd go with Blue Dragon. Haven't played it all the way through, but from what I have played of it, it's a pretty solid RPG. If you can I'd recommend getting Lost Odyssey as well.

Personally, I would choose Prince of Persia and Blue Dragon, since both are excellent games and both offer a substantial and satisfying single-player experience. If you're looking for something that provides good online play, Too Human is a favorite.

Another game I'd like to throw out there is Mortal Kombat VS. DC Universe. It is VERY noob-friendly and a great game! Also keep in mind that I think this game is great even when I'm not much of a fan of Mortal Komat, so that tells you you don't have to be fans of either to get into the genre.

Thanks for the responses guys, it appears that Blue Dragon is out of stock so I will need to buy it on ebay. I think I'm going to go with Lost Odyssey and if my parents can lend me another 5 pounds I will buy Prince of Persia as well. :)

Anyone play this game before?

Do you think it's worth checking out? What element makes this either a love, or hate type of game? I thought the demo was neat, but the reviews hover around a 6/10 range, and player reviews are just all over the place. >_<

The gameplay seems a bit complex in the demo, but damn it looks nice. The graphics really blew me away despite it being a game from 2007.

I think its a very under-appreciated game and not a genre most people care for nowadays. It has a fairly nice story accompanied by nice anime cutscenes. The game sort of reminds me of the old wing commander games.

The controls are complex at first but you can customize them to your liking and after you play a few missions everything will fall into place.

I don't think this game deserved the reviews it got because for me this is one of if not the best game to come out in this genre in a very long time.

If you liked the Demo then I say give it a buy. You can pick the game up new for $11.50 off amazon right now, and at that price its a steal.

Cool thanks! I'll look for it when I go to Gamestop today, or just order it from Amazon if they don't have it :) Yeah I liked the demo, but was worried it branched off into something else that wasn't so great.

Just a quick question.

I've been wanting to import a North American NES and SNES (I live in the UK) since there are a lot of games that were never released in Europe. I've been intending to get one of the two-in-one style consoles such as the Retro Duo, but I don't know whether to import it or the original consoles. :c I won't be getting it/them now, but I'd just like some advice on what to get in advance so I can have a saving plan (Since I don't get a lot of income).

Thank you a lot to anyone who helps. ^-^

I would go with the originals myself. They might cost a bit more over the remake all in ones but you know there going to run every game 100% where you might run into problems on certain games with the remake consoles.

I have a Generation NEX NES clone console and it wont run a few games I have tried on it. Castlevania III is one example.

Thanks, I read up on it and non of the known incompatible games interest me or are also available in Europe. And most of the incompatible games are PAL, and I already own a PAL NES and SNES. :c
