How to hook up a wire speaker into a TV with AV ports?

Level 7 Posts: 1,375 Group: Members Member #1,866 Joined: Apr 3, 2010	I have an older speaker I just found in my attic, it has a wire, with two metal pieces sticking out at the end, the kind that you'd clasp into a stereo, and I'm wondering if there's an adapter or something I can use to hook it up to my TV that has the ports for speakers that look like AV ports. Anyone know?

Tanzbefehl! Posts: 1,012 Group: Members Member #1,678 Joined: Mar 11, 2010	just go to radio shack and get an AV plug and do some soldering. unless it's one of those oldschool +/- speakers, it should work

But that's not gonna' work. A surround sound system needs 4 or more separate speakers, with their individual plug-ins
