I don't think you did, lol. But I would have to say Sonic. While the new games aren't that great, everyone on the Genesis was amazing. Even Spinball, 3D Blast, and Dr. Robotnik one (even though it was super hard!) |

I don't really care. Although the Sonic fanboy's ability to think even the most banal of Sonic games such as Sonic's 3D Blast or Sonic Spinball are great is astonishing. At least Mario fans have the gall to call out mediocre Mario games, such as Mario's Pinball Land. |

i actually like 3d blast... I just dont try comparing it to sonic 2 or sonic cd. I love the opening animation on the genesis version... I was so impressed when I first saw that. I may have to grab the saturn version because I never played that port... though I did play the sonic collection on game cube years ago and I bet it's the same port. sonic spinball was very good for a pinball game. there were so many terrible pinball games in that generation especially on the snes ... especially in europe. also you gotta look at spin offs like chaotix and things like that. overall I like the sonic realm of games better but I still like the mario main games. I dont like smash bros, I hated mario is missing, I liked mario rpg a lot, mario kart was fun for a minute or two. |

Back in the day, it was totally Sonic. However, Mario's proved himself time and time again with excellent titles that he's the superior mascot. |

Sonic. I'd much rather play even Sonic 2006 than any Mario games. I like fast paced action, and Mario can't deliver. |

I prefer Sega to Nintendo, and I do like Sonic's games..but Mario gets my vote. Very seldom have I ever been disappointed with a Mario game. |

I just..can't fathom it. Mario games, are just boring. I've never really enjoyed a Mario game. Hell, I'd never played a Sonic game until the Dreamcast. |

Mario has the better library but i do have a soft spot for the 16-bit sonic games. Sonic & Knuckles is a underrated classic. Sonic Adventure has some of the best moments of any game i've played, like the Wind level.. wow. But in the end it isn't that great a game where as mario games tend to have better controls and the less focus on speed makes for better gameplay. Sonic always had amazing level design though, much better then any 2D mario games. |

I'm probably the only one who is going to say this but I never cared about this. To me, it was never about Mario vs. Sonic. It was Nintendo vs. Sega, as in the companies. They just so happened to put their mascots on the frontlines but as far as Mario and Sonic duking it out, I really don't care. Even when "Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games" came out, I wasn't excited to finally see Mario and Sonic together in a game. Though I do love crossover games, I only liked the idea of the crossover, not the fact that Sonic and Mario were going at it. But if there is a crossover with Sonic I want to happen, it's Mega Man vs. Sonic. Now there's my dream crossover right there. |

This is a tough choice for me. I am going to have to go with Mario but it comes real close. Although sonic has my favorite game of all time (I could seriously do loving with Adventure 2: Battle   ), Mario simply has more good games under his belt.

While sonic had good games on the Genesis, and maybe you can include rush and colors, mario has good games, and a fair amount of them, for 25 years now, so gotta go mario. |

dont even talk about the winter olympics... it's bad enough we now have to play sonic without blast processing. haha, you are right though ^^ it was a corporate thing happening but that was amazing and part of the 90's. It made gaming interesting. You know we all played both, and we all liked both.... but come on! |

Sonic on the dreamcast 2 with sonic adventure 3 will be awesome I thought sonic sucked compared to mario his games are not as clunky as sonics games sonic games have sloppy controls and horrible gameplay nuff said |

I am going to have to say Mario because I grew up playing games from the Mario series and loved them. I wasn't introduced to Sonic until later in my gaming career. |
