Maybe even include a song by the artist you are comparing them to, as some people may have not heard of that artist either, and become interested in both. This is just to introduce people to music they very well may have just as easily missed out on. So I'll start this off: Drive Like Jehu Sounds Like: Fugazi Why: I was surprised to see how many Fugazi fans are on this forum, but I haven't really seen these guys mentioned. A Post-Hardcore band from California who released two stellar albums (Drive Like Jehu & Yank Crime) in the early 90's. Check 'em out. Songs: Caress If It Kills You Here Come The Rome Plows Luau Panacea Sounds Like: A Tribe Called Quest Why: I'm not really sure how many of you here like and appreciate Hip Hop, but a lot of my posts here will be as such. I know some of you here are fans of groups like A Tribe Called Quest (I'm looking at you, browland), and some of you might be, if you were more familiar with the genre. Compromised of producer K-Murdock (whose beats are smooth, jazzy, and have heavy strings) and rapper Raw Poetic (insightful and meaningful lyrics), this duo provides us with a straight throwback to Hip Hop's Golden Age. Perfect for fans of that age in the genre, or one of the groups I would mention to people who are just trying to find good Hip Hop, this is all around good music. Pure sounds of a cultural and artistic movement, for these present days and times. Songs: Place on Earth Ecosphere The Scenic Route Katana
