Ps3 keeps freezing up on me.

 So I was playing my Ps3 when everything just stopped. I tried pressing the home button and it didnt work. I pressed the power button to turn it off then turned it on again. Well about an hour later it froze up again. Does anyone else have this problem? I'm almost ready to trade in my playstation for an Xbox. And I don't want to get rid of the best system I own.

 If the intercooler fixed it temporarily, then your motherboard sounds like it's going bad. That or it's really really dirty inside. If you are no longer under warranty and feel comfortable opening it, then I would recommend cleaning it out. If cleaning it out doesn't work or your warranty is no longer valid, I would hate to say it but you may be out of a console.

 I don't feel comfortable taking it apart, its just one of those things that I don't like to do with my game systems. Bad thing is though, I'm not under warranty anymore...

 I had a similar issue a few months back my ps3 kept freezing even on the xmb i discovered that disabling the wireless and using a lan cord fixed the problem dunno if that would fix yours but thats what fixed mine something to do with the wireless.
