Today i finally bought a 32x on a Dutch Ebay site. It`s connected on a Megadrive model 2. If I’m correct i need some RF-Shields to connect this thing on a model 1 Megadrive. The guy where i bought this from haven`t this shields anymore . He misses also that special video cable for the Megadrive 1. Can i use the 32x without RF-shields on a model 1 Megadrive?..What can i do about the missing conversion cable? I really wanna play 32x ona model 1 Megadrive Please help! Here is the Ebay picture...

I'm not completely familiar with the add-ons for the Sega Genesis but I did purchase one off of ebay myself that included everything. What I found was without the conversion cable, you cannot play the games correctly. The video won't come up completely to my knowledge. I've also seen some play without the metal shielding. I can't give a 100% on anything as I no longer have it but hopefully someone can build off of what I know

Today i bought Sega 32x for the Megadrive. It works great but one thing gets me upset. The 32x makes that buzzing/peeps noise. It`s not coming from the tv-speakers but from the 32x console. Someone familiar with this? Here is the setup!

The 32X shouldn't be making any sounds like that. Do you have the correct AC adapter hooked into the 32X unit? |

Yeah it`s the same like the megadrive 2 AC I got my answer from a member from Sega-saturn.co.uk It says..There is nothing wrong with my 32x.. That noise it does comes from the ferrite filter element, and its nothing to worry about. The PWM circuit uses low enough switching freq that its audible. Edited by Fisher007, Aug 14 2010, 10:51 AM.

Well it looks like you have all that you need maybe the 32X has some faults inside. |

Im not completely familiar with the Pal systems. However i believe the shields are just to prevent intereference of some sort. I do not THINK they are necessary for any genesis system although they are recommended. HOWEVER the extra cord from the 32x to the genesis you must have in order to play. As for the beeping sounds im not sure of since my U.S system does not make this sound. |
