I've been playing lots of Mega Man Legends and Mega Man Legends 2 lately, and I'm currently going crazy trying to obtain a copy of The Misadventures of Tron Bonne. But, right now I'm looking for some similar games. Anyone know of any good Action Adventure/Action RPG games for the PS1? I'm already considering Brave Fencer Musashi, but I don't have much knowledge of PS1 games other than Turn Based RPGs, which I'm not looking for at the moment...so, any suggestions? |

Good (IMO) Action & RPG (ish) games for the PS1: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Chrono Cross Legacy of Kain / Blood Omen series Metal Gear Solid series Oddworld series Resident Evil series ... not all inclusive by any means, but a good start; and what I can think of off the top of my head. |

chrono cross, chrono trigger, Suikoden 1 and 2. Play these games and you will be one lucky (sorry) bastard

I always considered the chrono games pure turn-based rpgs with a little flair, not action/adventure. At least as far as the combat system goes. If you have a ps2, Odin Sphere was pretty sweet IMO |

Alundra is supposed to be awesome, but I have yet to find a good priced one. Did you finally get around to playing Vagrant Story Pete? I remember you saying you were never able to get into it, and it was always the same for me. So gloomy. Also, SotN is firggin awesome. I just found out yesterday that the psx version has the soundtrack in it, you just have to put it in a cd player. Awesome music! |
