If link is able to jump I will not buy this game. I really don't think he will be able to jump though, I think we was just climbing on that rock. It's like saying link can jump in OoT. He technically can over rocks, but you can't just jump anywhere. Edited by Scott, Sep 11 2010, 06:55 AM.

Why would his jumping, or not, discourage you from buying a Zelda game? |

Lol that was kind of a Dramatic answer. I don't see what should be bad in jumping, you don't have to use it. |

Well, I'm a dramatic person. I just think that the whole idea of a motion control zelda is gimmicky...I traded by Wii Twilight Princess for a Gamecube version because of that. That puts me on the wall about buying Skyward Sword, and if Link can jump, he may just push me off of the wall. /fail metaphor |

I have played every Legend Of Zelda since the original on NES. Since that day I have been one of the biggest fans out there and I can tell you that even if Link can jump, or talk, or fly, or turn into a motorcycle I wouldn't care because I am such a die hard fan that I would pick it up no matter what. That is what makes people true fans of something, they stick with it no matter what. |

I dont think its fair to judge motion control in Zelda based purely on Twilight Princess, that was after all a Gamecube game that could have been done back in 2001. The sword control was effectively nothing but a substitute for mashing a button, and the control for the arrows and boomerang by pointing on the screen worked well in its own right. Skyward sword was actually built from the ground up for Motion Plus control, the swordplay is going to be more strategic and based on your actual movements and not just jiggling the remote, not to mention everything from selecting your items to aiming your distance weapons looks to be extraordinarily accurate, smooth, and streamlined. Anyway, you could jump at will in Zelda 2, and in Links Awakening with a certain item thats essential for navigating the world and dungeons. I remember Minish Cap having that same item, but it appeared later in the game. |

2-D vs 3-D was never specified, only the idea of Link jumping at will. |

No, Twlight Princess could not have been done back in 2001. That's all I have to say on the matter. |
Can we please fix the quoting system? Pretty please?
