I always liked Gun-Nac as well and it's a space shooter. It's a pretty solid game from the NES era. It's fun and fairly challenging near the end of the game. If you want to throw your controller at the screen and often, you can get Sky Shark (again not a space style theme), which is incredibly challenging. One I'll never give a heads up for is Sky kid. It's pretty bad (almost in a good way). I forgot Captain Skyhawk, Gradius and of course one of the best and most challenging games on the NES for 2 players in Lifeforce!
