Recently I sold a copy of ICO and Kingdom Hearts for £30. 1-2 months later the buyer is sayin he didn't recieve the items and he set up a dispute on paypal and instantly I was put on a negative balance. 2 weeks later he wins the dispute even though I prove an image of my proof of shipping from the royal mail. Is there anything I can do to get my £30 back? There is no way I'm putting £30 into my account to resolve the negative balance because I know I shipped it to the buyer. Paypal and ebay will never be used by myself again. |

Any particular reason that the dispute was ruled against you? From my (limited) experience in the matter, you have a fair chance to voice your side, and dispute their claims. What was the feedback on your photographic proof by PayPal? |

no reason really, im guessing the buyer just wanted to be smart and get his money and the items as well. no buyer would wait 1-2 months before wanting their money back. and i know for sure I sent it out because I sent off a few packages on the same day. I uploaded the picture of the proof but it looks like paypal didnt even look at it, nor read my side of the story.. they've just straight up given him his money back and it wont even let me appeal it :/ |

I believe that there is an appeals process for disputing these rulings, and you should pursue this to the extent you can since it's not right that you're screwed out of both your games and your money. Typically, Payal will rule against you if you do not respond in a timely manner and do not provide sufficient proof to dispute the claim, so it could be that you didn't provide enough information and this worked against you. Try appealing their decision and take it as far as you can. If this doesn't work, sadly there is not much you can do except swallow the loss, which sucks. |

Yeah paypal really do favour the buyers over the sellers which is insane. Some people are just pathetic, what kind of human being would scam to get his £30 back plus have the games too. I guess the image of the proof of shipping from the royal mail isn't enough for paypal. I've sent them a note, which they probably wont even read, but ah well. If not it looks like I'll be having a negative balance forever and I simply won't be using paypal or ebay again! |

Dispute this, otherwise you'll find yourself on the receiving end of a huge legal dong, headed straight for yo ass. Paypal won't care about what happened before, they'll just see a -£30 balance and set their lawyers on you. Dispute it, dispute, dispute. Email them over and over. Have a bit of pride, some punks stolen from you, do everything you can to fight back! |

Paypal requires proof of delivery in order to win a case. If you do not have proof of delivery, then they won't really care unfortunately. On a rare instance if you spend a lot of time on the phone, maybe a few times, they might put it in your favor. It's really a big time wasting thing, when proof of shipment should really be enough to cover you. |

I've been on the other end of this before, filing a claim for never receiving anything, and the only proof I had was an email from the seller saying he wont ship me the item until I fix my feedback. I explained that meant he never shipped it in the first place and paypal quickly gave me my money. Sadly, if someone doesn't buy confirmation or insurance, all you should have to prove is that the package was sent and you did your part. Have you spoken to any real people about this yet, or just the email system? |

Nope I've only used the email system, is it possible to actually speak to someone? |

I'm not 100% on this but I thought you could if the back and forth email wasn't getting anywhere or if the dispute continues from the claim that was made. |
