I have to say i love Blizzard. In my opinion, they haven't released anything other than masterpieces.

Honorable Mentions: Atlus, Nintendo, Capcom.

Well when I was a kid I'd have said Capcom with a nod to Konomi for second. Late teens and early 20's would have been Rare. But these days Atlus is doing it for me. Demon's Souls, Persona and other fine works. Blizzard would get the nod for second though.

Too easy... Nintendo. I mean, come on, they develop some of the best (if not the best) games out there. I think Mario, Pokemon, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Kirby, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, Metroid, Star Fox, and MUCH more. You just don't find that many top notch exclusives out there. I've been loyal to Nintendo since the very beginning, so this was a no brainer for me. Not that I'm not a fan of Microsoft (or any of the smaller developers as well), it's just that they don't compare much for me.
I am also a big fan of Intelligent Systems, which was the mastermind alongside Nintendo for the Paper Mario series.

I'm guessing you are referring to your favorite video game developer when you mean "Video Game Company." I'm not sure what my favorite developer would be, every developer creates games that are great and some that aren't. I love Nintendo because of their ability to always satisfy me with their popular titles, especially this year. Bungie and Blizzard are also some of my favorite because of their awesome titles.

It used to be Capcom, but then Keiji Inafune left, so now I think they are out of the running. So I gotta say either Insomniac or Kojima/Konami.

1. Nintendo. They've made some of the greatest games of all time :) Nintendo never dissapoints.

2. Rockstar. They created GTA, and defined the action "sand box" experrience. And with Red Dead Redemption out as an absolute masterpiece, they definately had to be in my top 3

3. EA. I don't think many of you will agree with me on this one. While EA has made a ton of aweful and dissapointing games, They have also created some new and innovative franchises, like for example "The Sims"

Sega Does What Nintendon't

Here is my top 5.......

1) Nintendo - I would have to say that throughout the years no one has ever been able to compare to Nintendo's First party lineup of games and game quality.

2) Cave Co. - There is no denying that in the STG / SHMUP genre that Cave has became the dominating force churning out some of the best shooters ever made for the 360!

3) Working Designs - They pioneered the idea of bringing over niche Japanese titles and localizing them. There is no doubt in my mind that if Working Designs was never around we wouldn't have great companies today like Atlus, Xseed, and Nis America.

4) Square Enix - Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy need I say more?

5) Vanillaware - They don't have a huge library of titles but every game Vanillaware has developed has been pure gold! focusing on art style and gameplay rather than 3D graphics has made each of there games really stand out in the crowd and I highly look forward to there next project.

Others that didn't make my top 5.....

Bethesda
Capcom
Namco
Konami
Hudson Soft

I SUCK AT GAMES

Rare is definitely my favorite. Not so much lately, but they're really the company that got me into video games. When I was younger...95% of the games that I played were made by Rare.

Killer Instinct & Gold, DKC series, BattleToads Double Dragon, GoldenEye, DK64, Jet Force Gemini, Banjo Kazooie series, Diddy Kong Racing, Perfect Dark hell yes!

Other great studios:

Platinum Games (Off to an AMAZING start)
Insomniac
SuckerPunch
Nintendo
DICE
Bioware
Capcom
Cave
Sony Santa Monica

I also have to say 2K games and Bethesda are up there for me as well. 2K has given me some of my favorite games as of late, and as for Bethesda, while there games are glitch-fests, they are still amazing when they are working, haha.

I'll give a top 5:

1. Nintendo- At their finest, with their best AAA games, they define why I play video games

2. SuckerPunch I'm a giant Sly fan (Sly 2 favorite game evah!), and I love Infamous (lookin' forward to Infamous 2!). They are very passionate developers with their fans in mind and I flippin' love that.

3. Naughty Dog Gotta give this spot to these guys primarily for the Uncharted series (casual Crash fan, never played Jak and Daxter). The level of polish is just insane with this series and solidifies Gaming as a serious business.

4. Atlus These guys genually adore what they do for a living, and you can tell through their quirky games packed with art books, and soundtracks, and plushies, and puppies, and houses, and countries...

5. Capcom I love RE5, I love Mega Man, I think Street Fighter's fun; I love a lotta stuff these guys make. When it comes to pure, mostly arcadey fun these guys know what they're doing, so they get teh 456 seal of approval.

Since I am a RPG guy, I would have to say Square Enix. But I also enjoy Guild Wars so I would have to say ArenaNet/NC Soft.

SEGA was my favorite for a long time, but not really as much now. I think it has a lot to do with the outsourcing they have been doing and publishing of games for other developers. I don't think I have a real favorite that much any more since lots of the old ones are now merged or gone.
