Is anyone else getting this game? Having splashed on Fable III, Vanquish, Fallout: New Vegas and Black Ops, I can't believe I'm buying another game but I can't resist this one. I didn't care much for the first Assassin's Creed, mainly because it felt bland and the story held little interest for me, but I love the second game in the series and that was my big gaming addiction last year.

I'm not getting my hopes too high, but I like what I've read about the story and it looks like the gameplay elements that I loved in Assassin's Creed II have carried over, so I think this is a safe purchase for me. The single player campaign will be roughly 15 hours and there is a multiplayer aspect that I am somewhat less interested in. But you never know, I might take a shine to online play since it's probably not going to have the same problem with campers that the Call of Duty games have (they didn't have machine guns in Renaissance-era Rome).

This is coming out next week and I am definitely getting it at launch. Outside of that, there are no other "must have" games coming out this year. This caps things off nicely in my opinion.

Go for it spoil yourself!
I also don't like buying so many games in such a short period mainly because I'd find it difficult to focus on just one game.

I'm also considering asking for this for Christmas but I'm not certain. What do you think about the introduction of firearms? Surely it would potentially eliminate the stealth factor of the game. Although I don't know how that will be balanced. Story was good and interesting in the second game but issues like replaying missions was something a lot of people weren't happy with.

What console will you get it on?

I'm actually looking forward to next year game-wise. I think Bulletstorm will be my first buy of 2011.

I definitely picking it up. I really enjoyed both of the Assassin's Creed games and decided to play through the 2nd game before Brotherhood comes out. Just downloaded the DLC for it a week or so ago and wanted to refresh myself on the controls and the story before next week.

I will probably be getting the game on Xbox 360, as I do most cross-platform games, unless there is a serious difference that works in the favor of the PS3. I have mixed feelings about the introduction of firearms, since AC is more about stealthy action and assassinations with blades, and I didn't care much for the firearm in AC II, but it could also work really well. We'll have to wait and see on that one.

After pretty much hating the first Assassins Creed and purchasing Assassins Creed 2 and falling in love with it, I must say I am definitely intrigued by Brotherhood, I just don't know how much I will enjoy the single player campaign, and that is my main drawing point, multiplayer doesn't interest me much.

Will I feel like it's a full game, or will it feel like overpriced DLC? I might have to wait this one out a bit and read some reviews, watch some gameplay, and word of mouth to see if it lives up to what the second one made me love.

According to what I've read, the game appears to have the same single-player length as Assassin's Creed II (15 to 20 hours) and the story is quite intricate, definitely geared towards those who've played AC II and perhaps not as accessible to those who haven't. I'm very excited for this game, definitely moreso than I was for Black Ops and Halo: Reach, and I will definitely be buying it on launch day.

The Collector's Edition is sooo damn awesome in my opinion. Maybe later in this year, when i get to have some money, i'll definitely buy it.
