So I've posted my opinions on what appears to be a fairly divisive issue. I argue in the video below that the "There's a Solider in All of Us" trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops acts as a detriment to the game and military FPS games in general. Some people have expressed contrary opinions. I'd like to hear what you guys think.

Thanks!

Gamer. Graphic Designer. Geek.

I watched your video, and I think it was very well spoken. I have 6 years military experience, and about 24 years of run of the mill average person non military experience, and I really don't see anything wrong with the video. I think it has some light comical overtones that take the true seriousness out of it. Games, including military FPS are all about having fun, and this video is using 'big guns' to try to promote that. It's targeting your average Joe working the average job that gets off work, and just wants a fun break. Also, I know it's promoting the multiplayer, but the overall theme of this game seems to be less military, and more CIA operative unlike the former COD's.

On a side note, if I was in this commercial, I would have been the guy that died about 15 times during the span of the commercial lol...

Wow 6 years of military service is nothing to scoff at. You're right - military FPS games are about having fun. Having played the game now, I agree that it is definitely more CIA operative based than the former COD's.
