Favorite Cases for games?

So what is your favorite casing for games?

Basically I mean: the CD cases (PS1, Dreamcast), DVD cases (PS2, 360, Wii), Blu-ray cases, Slipcover cases. The long ones that the original PS1 games and Sega Saturn/CD games had?

I would say that the CD cases were really cool, and I don't really like the long ones or blu-ray ones so then I'd say DVD cases.

I don't know why, but I really like the PS3 cases. They just look cool next to Xbox 360 and Wii's more normal DVD-type cases.

Ds Games!

I like my ds cases because they're small and square away nicely without taking up too much space.

I think the standard black PS2 cases are the best looking. I like them over the smaller PS3 cases and the lime green Xbox and Xbox 360. Nintendo 64 and SNES cardboard boxes are nice, but difficult to keep in good condition.

I actually really like the xbox's horrible lime green dvd case style but my fav would prob be the sega saturn cases, the usual half card half plastic ones. They just have a real cool look

Didnt the first dvds come in those cases too?

I like big old pc and amiga card boxes, they take up far too much space but a lot of them just had thier own unique style.

I think the most ingenious cases are the DS. A work of art. CD case size so they fit on most CD racks, well built, and they have a spot for a GBA cart in every case. Plus the standard part of the insert looks nice too. Sega Genesis/32X cases would be second followed by the standard DVD case.

As for colors I have to say I like the grey and red of the 360 and PS3 greatest hits cases respectively, but the inserts are always horrible looking.

As for the inserts I like the DS inserts the most followed by the original 360 inserts and the PS3 inserts tied for second.

But nothing compares to a pristine NES or SNES box or the awesome look of those beautiful grey carts :)

I too enjoy jewel cases the most, but as long as I have the game in a case, I don't really mind.

I hate 360 cases though, not because of how they look, but because of that eco-friendly crap. Sure, they help the environment, and that's great and all...but really, they are SO flimsy and they feel so...breakable when I hold them.

N-Gage Cases are awesome. I also really like DS Cases, but they kinda lost their beautiness (i'm not shure if that word exists lol) seing them all the time.

Welcome To Warp Zone!

I think that if the Sega Saturn cases weren't so fragile, they'd pretty much be awesome. I feel like i'm going to break the front cover into 300 pieces just opening it, and if I drop it, it WILL break. On the other hand, they allow for some pretty good box art. It's a shame they don't fit on my shelf, though.

I'd have to second the NGage boxes. They're small, yet oddly nice looking.

These aren't the droids we're looking for.

My favorite would probably have to be the Nintendo DS cases; they're small, but not tiny, and they just look nice and neat on my shelf.

I love the PS3's cases as well, but the little clips that hold the manual just plain suck; no grip at all. The manuals ALWAYS slides loose EVERY time I open them. If it wasn't for that, it could possibly be my favorite.

I also liked the old jewel cases, but they've always gotten scratched up or "foggy", at least for me, haha.

And then all of the old cardboard boxes, especially the SNES and N64 ones, they were awesome.
