Great way to find video game stuff cheap

 I have always gone to auctions to get a majority of my video game stuff. I am not talking about eBay or that kind of auction. The kind where you get up and preview the items and get a number and wait for the items you want to be placed up for bid. I know that sitting at an auction makes the 7 day eBay auction length sound fast but it is worth the wait.

At my last auction find I got a Sega Gamegear, charger and a case with 14 games for $9. Not all auctions go that way though, I was at one where there was an NES with 7 boxed games that went for $95.

While it can be hit or miss at an auction, I like the fact that I can see the item up front and I can leave with it that day knowing what condition it is in. Plus a lot of auctions I have been to accept cash, check and/or credit cards. It is nice to have an option other than PayPal when I am on eBay.
