A friend of mine recently had his account hacked or something along those lines. The hacker or bug changed his account region from Canada to South Africa. The change in region messed up quite a bit, Kinect no longer works, all downloaded content is lost. So we tried calling Microsoft multiple times and every time we got the same answer. The account region can't be changed and the only option is to get a new account. They can't be serious. Because of something that isn't his fault he now loses all the money put into the downloaded content and they expect him to just go buy a new card when they're unwilling to do a simple change on the account? They refuse to even refund a cent on the content and account, this is ridiculous. |

I was just thinking this same thing, lol. I'm sticking to my ds for lots of things, and PS3 for games I want the online for, until the 3ds comes out then we'll see what happens. |

Not being funny, but it's blatant that this dudes security was compromised due to him being a silly billy. The term hacking gets chucked around too easily, it was either social hacking or a stupid password. You friend should learn a lesson and move on |

I wouldn't be surprised if this were the case. But I don't understand why they aren't able to change the region on the account. |

They can change the region. You have to escalate the support ticket to a higher up and possibly get the credit card company involved. |
