My friend gave this program to me a while back as sort of an early Christmas present, and while I can do basic stuff, I know the program can do a lot more. Right now, I'm trying to figure out how to add synth sounds to my songs, as well as add some sounds of my own (I want to import 8-bit sound effects to use in my songs as well) and I'm in need of some coaching, haha.

Fruiiiityyyy Looooops.

While I have nothing really worthwhile to contribute to this thread. May be worth checking out OCRemix.org

Sure their community will have some worthwhile tips n hints.

I swear you start a new project weekly ;P
VSigma100: If I've learned anything on here it's that Andsy is a crazy bastard. LOL.

Well, I was doing the other band for a while, but it's slowing down now, I fear the worst for it's future, so I'm going to get a head start and get the ball rolling on another musical experiment!

I love using FL Studio...it gets a lot of hate from certain people, but it's very easy to use and I'm happy with it. I've been using it off and on since probably 2003 or so. There's a website to download free 8 bit sounds to use in FL, and I used them to make a Nintendo style beat. I have it posted on my YouTube account if you'd like to hear somewhat of a demo. There's tons of more sounds than what I've used though, and it was lots of fun. The link is in the description of the video, (to download the VSTs) and even though I'm not an expert, feel free to ask me any questions. Link is on my signature.

I got the PEACH Vst and it's working great for me...now I need to learn how to seperate it from the drum tracks...for some reason, it will only play the first notes and loop them with the drum track, and I want to add more 8 bit through the songs and also keep the drums...

Are you using only 1 window for the Peach VST? As in adding all the notes in one piano roll window? If that is the case, you can go one line below the Peach VST, right click and open another Peach channel. Add as many as you need and then separate all of them into different patterns. Make sure to change it from pattern to song at the top and add the patterns accordingly to your liking in the playlist window. Sorry, it's my first time teaching so let me know if this is what you mean.
