Well this show was actually on a while ago on British television, unfortunatley i just noticed it now. Im not going to go into to much details as you can follow the link and get a far better description there. Link (Dang, just noticed the vid link is broken. Here is another, although it is an analysis of the vid. Seems ITV dont want people seeing the original footage.) Link "The Alan Titchmarsh Show and Julie Peasgood" had an editor for CVG.com on thier show to "discuss/debate" the subject of violence in videogames. You can guess what happened with a rightwing british audience with no actual videogame experience. Read the article, watch the video and look out for Julie Peasgoods computer game debut from 2000, which she seems to forget to mention strangly enough. Enjoy. PS. sign the petition at he bottom if you want to. Prob wont get the apology but damn it, they'll know someone was pissed off. Edited by Kharnivore2099, Nov 29 2010, 02:43 PM.

LOL. This is quite embarassing. They're just talking, without knowing the point. Same thing every politician does. They try to appear intelligent, but they're jsut plain stupid. |

I saw this recently, they don't listen to him at all and use him as a punch bag. They could at least get CoD: MW2's name right... |

Wow... I thought we were way over the "video game violence discussion"-era... :S These individuals just showed a level of ignorance and stupidity beyond anything I thought was humanly possible... |

Just seems bizzarre huh? No one on the show other than Tim Ingham seems to be under 40, which prob means they didnt have too much experience with computer gams growing up. Alan writes raunchy novels in his spare time and julie has a book about sex tips and has starred in a lot of mind-numbing british soap operas that have in the past depicted both violence, drugs and the subject of rape...but these are shown on prime time telvision. Why are video games that are monitored with a proper ratings systems to protect minors, under scrutiny from these ignorant degenerates with no real understanding of the subject, being screened on daytime telly? Its an old topic but damn it still grinds my gears. |

Goddamn it. These idiots are so fucking stupid! It really pisses me off to see that bitch who doesn't even know what the hell she's talking about, getting an applause from the crowd. Every single game that comes out has a big Letter on the front cover that let's you know whether the game is suitable for kids or not. If parents are to stupid to know the difference between the letter "E" and the letter "M", then it's their fault not the video game industry. |

And in the UK (which I'm assuming they're from), it's even easier. The games are rated with a number which represents the age. A 7+ rating signifies that the game is suitable for anybody 7 and older, while a 16+ rating signifies that the game isn't appropriate for anybody under 16. Seriously, I wonder about the common sense of people sometimes. |
